How much does the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica cost?

Prices have softened 7.69% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,974 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica a good car?

Generally — 4.3/5. The expert rating is 8/10, and the Pacifica’s appeal centers on spaciousness, safety features, smooth performance, and advanced technology that make it especially attractive if you want family usefulness without feeling like you’re settling for an outdated minivan. The overview also frames it as a clean-sheet redesign, which helps explain why it feels more modern than a routine update. With 31.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, there’s meaningful shopping opportunity if you’re comparing condition and equipment carefully.

Is the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica reliable?

Owners rate it 4.3/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction. The owner feedback points to a minivan that many drivers find dependable, with strong praise for its spaciousness, safety features, and smooth performance. That said, the same feedback also mentions ongoing reliability problems and expensive repairs, so you should treat maintenance history and prior ownership care as especially important. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that a well-equipped family hauler can become costly if it has been neglected or heavily used.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Chrysler Pacifica?

At 65.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage family hauler. Pay close attention to signs of prior bodywork, interior wear, and any evidence that the vehicle’s family-use features have been heavily used or poorly maintained. If a listing looks unusually cheap, make sure the condition story matches the price before you move forward.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LX comes with standard Bluetooth hands-free calling, a ParkView backup camera, Stow-N-Go seating, active noise cancelation, and the smaller Uconnect 5-inch touchscreen, while the Touring L adds leather seats, a power rear liftgate, and heated rear seats. Touring L Plus adds Uconnect Theater with second-row touchscreens and media inputs, and the Limited adds front-seat ventilation, navigation, a panoramic sunroof, a built-in vacuum, and 20-inch wheels.
• Powertrain: The Pacifica uses a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 with 287 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque, paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive. The performance notes also mention that the platform is designed to accept AWD, and fuel economy is rated at 18 mpg city, 28 highway, and 22 combined.
• Safety package: The SafetyTec Package adds blind-spot monitoring, ParkSense, and rear cross-path detection. The Advanced SafetyTec Package adds a 360-degree surround-view camera, adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, lane-departure warning, and lane-keeping assist, but it is available only on Touring L Plus and Limited.
• Infotainment: The base LX uses the smaller Uconnect 5-inch touchscreen, while the larger Uconnect 8.4-inch touchscreen is standard on the Limited and optional on the Touring L Plus. Uconnect Theater is standard on the Touring L Plus and optional on the Limited, with second-row seatback touchscreens and media inputs.
• Fuel efficiency: EPA estimates are 18 mpg city, 28 highway, and 22 combined.

Which 2017 Chrysler Pacifica trim should I buy?

The 2017 Chrysler Pacifica is offered in 5 trim levels: LX, Touring, Touring L, Touring L Plus, and Limited.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the entry point, but it still gives you Bluetooth hands-free calling, a backup camera, Stow-N-Go seating, active noise cancelation, and the smaller Uconnect touchscreen. It makes sense if you want the lowest starting price and can live without the extra comfort and tech upgrades.
• Touring: This trim is the next step up in the lineup and is the value-minded choice if you want a little more equipment without jumping too far in price. It sits between the base LX and the better-equipped Touring L, so it’s worth comparing carefully if you want a balanced buy.
• Touring L: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds leather seats, a power rear liftgate, and heated rear seats. If you want a family-friendly Pacifica with a more upscale feel without going all the way to the top, this is the one to focus on.
• Touring L Plus: This trim adds Uconnect Theater with second-row touchscreens and media inputs, making it the pick for families who want rear-seat entertainment. It also unlocks the Advanced SafetyTec Package, which is a major plus if safety tech matters to you.
• Limited: This is the most luxurious version, with front-seat ventilation, navigation, a panoramic sunroof, a built-in vacuum, and 20-inch wheels. Choose it if you want the most comfort and convenience features and are willing to pay for them.

The Advanced SafetyTec Package is available only on Touring L Plus and Limited, so those trims are the ones to target if you want the fullest safety-tech setup.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Chrysler Pacifica?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on the right listing.

• Deal availability: 31.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,974 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.69% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 65.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $11,754, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica's resale value?

The current average of $11,754 sits slightly below last year's $12,733.

That softer pricing suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy more confidently now but may also limit short-term upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the key is to buy a well-kept example with strong equipment and clean history so it stands out when you list it later. Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.3/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica safe?

The 2017 Chrysler Pacifica earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

All models come standard with a full array of front and side impact airbags, the LATCH child-seat anchoring system, and a standard backup camera. The available SafetyTec Package adds blind-spot monitoring, ParkSense, and rear cross-path detection, while the Advanced SafetyTec Package adds a 360-degree surround-view camera, adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, lane-departure warning, and lane-keeping assist. That more advanced package is limited to Touring L Plus and Limited, so base-trim shoppers won’t get the full suite.

Should I buy a 2017 Chrysler Pacifica or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 31.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 65.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.69% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.3/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• The 2017 stands out as a clean-sheet redesign that brought a fresh identity and modern minivan technology to Chrysler’s lineup.

The bottom line: If you want the newest-feeling version of this generation and you’re shopping carefully on condition, the 2017 is a strong place to start. If your priority is maximizing value, you can also use the softer pricing to target a well-equipped example rather than stretching for a newer one.
