How much does the 2017 Cadillac Escalade ESV cost?

Prices have softened 8.40% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 542 listings available, which suggests a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2017 Cadillac Escalade ESV a good car?

Yes — the 5/5 user rating points to strong shopper satisfaction for this model year. The 2017 Cadillac Escalade ESV stands out as a full-size luxury SUV built around space, presence, and premium features, with a huge cabin, three rows of seating, and plenty of cargo room. It is especially appealing if you need to carry people and luggage without giving up a luxury feel, and its upscale character is reinforced by a powerful V8 engine, premium interior materials, and attention-grabbing styling. For buyers who want a large, luxurious SUV with serious passenger and cargo space, it remains distinctive. 36.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2017 Cadillac Escalade ESV reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The 2017 Cadillac Escalade ESV is described as a strong mix of comfort and capability, with available features such as heated front and second-row seats, a power third row, a rear-seat entertainment system, and advanced driver-assistance technology. Its infotainment setup includes Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a Wi-Fi hotspot, which helps it feel well equipped for daily use and family travel. Even so, its poor fuel economy and older-feeling technology on some versions mean you should expect the usual ownership tradeoffs that come with a large luxury SUV.

For used buyers, long-term ownership risk is mainly about making sure the vehicle’s luxury equipment and high-use systems have been maintained properly.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Cadillac Escalade ESV?

At 57.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on bodywork quality, signs of prior repair, and the condition of the luxury and convenience features. Because this model is valued for space, comfort, and premium equipment, you should pay close attention to how well the cabin, electronics, and seating systems have held up. A clean history and strong overall condition matter more here than chasing the lowest sticker price.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Cadillac Escalade ESV?

This is a moderate market, so you can shop selectively without expecting a deep bargain on every listing.

• Deal availability: 36.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.40% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $22,521, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Cadillac Escalade ESV's resale value?

The current average of $22,521 sits slightly below last year's $24,587.

That decline suggests the market has become a bit softer, which can work against a future seller if you buy at the wrong price. On the other hand, the current average also means you may have less depreciation left to absorb than a buyer who purchased when prices were higher. If you keep the vehicle in strong condition and avoid examples with accident history, you improve your odds of holding value better than the average listing.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Cadillac Escalade ESV or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 36.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 57.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.40% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line:

The 2017 is a strong choice if you want the Escalade ESV’s space, luxury feel, and premium presence at a softer price than last year. If you are price-sensitive, you may want to compare it with nearby years and focus on the cleanest, best-maintained example you can find, since condition and history matter a lot in this segment.
