Is the 2017 Buick Enclave a good car?

Yes — the 2017 Buick Enclave earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction.

Is the 2017 Buick Enclave reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback highlights a comfortable, spacious, and quiet vehicle that many people feel good about living with over time. That kind of response suggests the Enclave can be a dependable choice for buyers who value a relaxed ownership experience.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about day-to-day comfort and more about making sure the specific vehicle has been maintained well and has a clean history.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Buick Enclave?

At 63.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any reported damage was repaired properly. Then prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, with extra attention to body condition, alignment, and signs of uneven wear.

Because this model has a reputation for comfort and family use, you should focus on how well the cabin, drivetrain, and overall condition have held up in real-world ownership.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Buick Enclave?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on the right listing.

• Deal availability: 31.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 999 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.97% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 63.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $11,979, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Buick Enclave's resale value?

The current average of $12,008 sits slightly below last year's $13,337.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can make resale a little more challenging if you buy at the wrong point. If you plan to sell later, your best protection is to buy well, keep mileage reasonable, and maintain the vehicle carefully.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Buick Enclave or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 31.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 63.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.97% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $16,120, the 2018 costs more than the current year's $12,008 average.
• It brings a full redesign with more power, less weight, and a stretched wheelbase.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2017 is the smarter starting point because it offers strong owner satisfaction and a lower average price. If you want the newer-generation redesign and are willing to pay more, the 2018 is the better upgrade path. For price-sensitive buyers, the 2017 is the one to target first.
