How much does the 2017 Audi A6 cost?

Prices have softened 8.31% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 583 listings available, which suggests a modest but workable amount of inventory for shoppers comparing prices and conditions.

Is the 2017 Audi A6 a good car?

The 2017 Audi A6 is a balanced choice if you want a refined luxury sedan with a premium feel, but it asks you to weigh comfort and features against ownership costs. Its user rating is 3.86/5, which fits the mixed owner feedback.

Owners commonly praise its stunning looks, comfortable ride, and high-quality electronics. The overview also points to a strong mix of comfort and technology, plus useful equipment such as leather seats, a sunroof, memory seats, push-button start, Bluetooth connectivity, and available driver-assistance and audio upgrades. That makes it a sensible fit if you want a quiet, upscale sedan that feels substantial without being flashy.

With 37.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively rather than rush into the first example you see.

Is the 2017 Audi A6 reliable?

The 2017 Audi A6 is positioned as a refined midsize luxury sedan with a premium feel and a broad mix of comfort and technology. Owner feedback also points to a car that can feel high-quality and well-equipped in daily use.

At the same time, the user summary highlights concerns about high maintenance costs, engine leaks, and handling feel, even while noting the car’s premium features and style. That means you should expect ownership to depend heavily on how well the specific car has been maintained.

For used buyers, long-term ownership risk is more about repair exposure and upkeep discipline than basic appeal, so a careful inspection and service-history review matter a lot.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Audi A6?

At 63.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. A pre-purchase inspection should focus on bodywork quality, signs of uneven wear, and any evidence that repairs were not completed to a high standard.

Because owner feedback mentions maintenance costs and possible engine-related concerns, pay close attention to service records and overall mechanical condition. A clean-looking car is not enough if the paperwork and inspection do not support it.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Audi A6?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 37.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 583 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.31% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 63.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $14,372, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Audi A6's resale value?

The current average of $14,528 sits slightly below last year's $15,844.

That price movement suggests the model has softened enough to help you buy more selectively today, but it also means future resale may depend heavily on condition, mileage, and maintenance history. If you keep the car well documented and avoid examples with accident history, you should be in a better position when it is time to sell.

For a future seller, the key takeaway is that a clean, well-kept A6 should be easier to justify than a rough one, especially in a market where buyers are already comparing value closely.

Should I buy a 2017 Audi A6 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 37.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 63.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.31% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2017 is a strong pick if you want a well-equipped, refined A6 and you can verify condition carefully. If you are more price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on the cleanest, best-documented example rather than chasing the newest badge alone.
