How much does the 2016 Toyota RAV4 cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 2,519 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2016 Toyota RAV4 a good car?

Yes — the 4.62/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its reliability, fuel efficiency, and comfortable ride, and many also call out the safety features as a major plus. For you, that makes it a practical compact SUV if you want an easy-to-live-with daily driver with broad appeal. With 32.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still room to find a competitive price.

Is the 2016 Toyota RAV4 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.62/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also emphasizes reliability, dependability, and a trouble-free ownership experience, which is exactly what many used-SUV shoppers want. That kind of reputation matters if you plan to keep the vehicle for years and want fewer surprises along the way.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is making sure the specific vehicle you choose has been maintained well and has a clean history.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 Toyota RAV4?

At 52% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from ones with prior damage. After that, prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing price looks unusually attractive. Focus on overall condition, maintenance records, and signs of past repair work so you can avoid paying strong money for a compromised example.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Toyota RAV4?

This is a moderate buyer's market, so you can be selective without expecting deep discounts on every listing.

• Deal availability: 32.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,519 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 52.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $15,403, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Toyota RAV4's resale value?

The current average of $16,159 sits slightly above last year's $16,082.

That small increase suggests the market has stayed stable rather than swinging sharply in either direction. For you, that usually means the RAV4 is holding value in a predictable way, which can make it easier to estimate what you'll get back later. A steady price pattern also helps reduce the risk of buying into a rapidly depreciating vehicle.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.62/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Toyota RAV4 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 32.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 52% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.62/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2015 if:

• At $14,794, the 2015 costs less than the current year's $16,159 average.
• It offers practical usefulness and strong cargo space.

The bottom line: If you want the newer year with stable pricing and strong owner satisfaction, the 2016 is the better default choice. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2015 is the more budget-friendly path and still delivers the core RAV4 strengths.
