How much does the 2016 Porsche Macan cost?

There are 761 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of used examples to compare.

Is the 2016 Porsche Macan a good car?

Yes — 5/5 is a strong user rating for this model year, and the overview backs up why it appeals to you if you want a compact SUV that prioritizes driving enjoyment over pure practicality. It is described as sportier than most rivals, with a smaller, more nimble feel than the Cayenne and a strong connection to Porsche’s sports-car character. The tradeoff is that rear-seat space is below average and the cabin is not especially spacious, so it fits you best if performance and a premium feel matter more than maximum room. 32.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2016 Porsche Macan reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview describes the Macan’s reliability record as a strength, which is encouraging if you want a used luxury SUV that should feel reassuring to own. Its high-quality cabin and well-equipped nature also support the sense that this is a thoughtfully built vehicle. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure you choose a well-kept example, since condition can vary and repair costs on premium vehicles can add up.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 Porsche Macan?

At 67.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection so you can confirm the car’s condition matches the listing. Focus especially on signs of prior damage, uneven wear, and any evidence that the vehicle has been repaired poorly. Because this model is positioned as a premium performance SUV, you want the example you buy to feel tight, clean, and well maintained.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Porsche Macan?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile opportunities.

• Deal availability: 32.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 761 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.19% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $17,331, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Porsche Macan's resale value?

The current average of $17,507 sits slightly below last year's $19,713.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy more confidently now but may also limit near-term upside if you plan to resell soon. If you keep the vehicle in strong condition and choose a desirable, well-maintained example, you should be in a better position to preserve value. The Macan’s premium badge and sporty reputation help support demand, even as pricing has softened.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Porsche Macan or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 32.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 67.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.19% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price movement, inventory depth, and buyer appeal, the 2016 is a strong place to start. If you are especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years to see whether a lower entry price outweighs any differences in equipment or condition.
