How much does the 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLE cost?

There are 810 listings available, which suggests a healthy amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLE a good car?

Yes — the 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLE earns a 4.9/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its luxury, comfort, style, high-quality fit and finish, and smooth handling, while also appreciating the updated features even in an older model. It fits especially well if you want a premium SUV that feels substantial, quiet, and practical for family use. With 33.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still room to shop selectively.

Is the 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLE reliable?

Owners rate it 4.9/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also describes it as reliable, safe, and a vehicle people can count on over time. That said, used buyers should still plan for age-related ownership risk, especially if the vehicle has not been maintained carefully or has higher-cost components that may need attention.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLE?

At 63% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. A pre-purchase inspection should focus on overall condition, signs of past bodywork, and any expensive systems that could affect ownership costs. It is also smart to pay close attention to how the vehicle drives and whether all comfort and convenience features work as expected.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLE?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting a deep bargain on every listing.

• Deal availability: 33.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 810 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.97% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 63.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $16,025, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLE's resale value?

The current average of $16,025 sits slightly below last year's $17,800.

That softer pricing can help you buy at a more favorable point, but it also means future resale gains may be limited if the market stays soft. If you plan to sell later, condition and maintenance history will matter a lot, especially in a luxury SUV segment where buyers are selective. A well-kept example should still be easier to move than one with visible wear or unresolved issues.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLE or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 33.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 63% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.97% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2016 is a solid choice if you want a luxury SUV with strong owner satisfaction and a softer used-car price point. If you are shopping primarily on value, this year deserves a close look; if you want the broadest selection of cleaner examples, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on the best-maintained listing rather than the cheapest one.
