Looking for a sleek and sexy luxury sedan with a little extra room in the back? The Infiniti Q70L could be just the ticket. Back for another year after a successful launch for 2015, the Q70L boasts 41.8 inches of rear-seat legroom, affording passengers in the back 5.6 more inches of legroom than the smaller Q70.

While the Q70L sports a little extra length than the Q70, it retains just as much style—one of the Q70's big selling points. Take a look at the Q70L and it's hard not to imagine getting whisked away, whether as a driver or passenger—and with that extra legroom, both driving and being driven are incredibly enjoyable.

If you do end up driving, you'll get to fire up your choice of a 3.7-liter 6-cylinder engine pumping out 330 hp, or a 5.6-liter 8-cylinder putting out 420 hp. Either engine will connect to the wheels via a 7-speed automatic, and both rear-wheel drive (RWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD) is available with both engines. With the 3.7-liter and RWD, you're looking at fuel economy numbers of about 18 mpg city/26 highway/21 combined, while the same engine with an AWD setup will deliver 18/24/20. Opt for the 5.6-liter and you can expect 16/24/19 with RWD and 16/23/18 with AWD.

As a 5-passenger flagship luxury sedan, the Q70L does not suffer from a lack of amenities. There are 4 trims available—3.7, 3.7 AWD, 5.6, and 5.6 AWD—and even the base 3.7 offers an impressive amount of luxury.

Hop in the 3.7 and you're sure to be almost overwhelmed with standard features (the 3.7 AWD offers the same standard equipment as the 3.7). You'll get heated front and rear seats, 10-way power front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, a 7-inch infotainment display, a USB port, push-button start, driver's seat memory, and an auto-dimming rear-view mirror. Optional packages include the Premium Package (with navigation, leather seats, and a Bose 10-speaker sound system), Deluxe Touring package (packing a power rear sunshade, Bose Surround Sound, and White Ash silver-powdered wood trim), and Performance Tire and Wheel Package (which adds 20-inch alloy wheels and sport brakes). Looking at safety, the 3.7 comes standard with a backup camera, electronic brake force distribution, 4-wheel antilock brakes, brake assist, electronic traction control, front-seat active head restraints, and Infiniti's Active Airbag System, which adjusts the airbag inflation rate in response to factors taking place during the collision. To add more safety tech, opt for the Technology Package, which includes active cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, lane departure warning, forward collision warning, and forward emergency braking.

Go for the 5.6 or 5.6 AWD and you'll get navigation, a 360-degree camera, a Bose 10-speaker sound system, leather seats, and parking sonar, all standard. As with the 3.7, the Performance Tire and Wheel Package is available on the 5.6, but so is the Deluxe Technology Package. Select the Deluxe Technology Package and you'll find yourself with the added safety and security of lane departure warning, forward collision warning, blind-spot monitoring, forward emergency braking, and active cruise control, plus the luxury of a power rear sunshade and Bose Surround Sound audio.

While the Infiniti Q70L certainly isn't one of the most powerful flagship luxury sedans on the market, it is one of the best-looking. Offering stylish good looks and an luxurious interior, it should be considered by anyone looking for a luxury sedan but wanting something a little different than the traditional offerings from Germany and Britain. And with its extended wheelbase and extra legroom, the Q70L is just as enjoyable to ride along in as it is to drive, although we'd much prefer to drive.
