Used 2016 Hyundai Azera for Sale near Boston, MA
The Hyundai Azera full-sized 5-passenger sedan returns for 2016 in two trims: the entry-level Base and the up-featured Limited. This affordable 4-door is offered only with front-wheel drive (FWD), and an Active Eco Select mode allows drivers to adjust throttle response and shifting for a more economical ride. And in addition to what most reviewers describe as one of the most spacious cabins in its class, the 2016 Azera sports 16.3 cubic feet of cargo space in the trunk, plenty of room for your overstuffed luggage.
Although it’s essentially a carryover from 2015, the new Azera will include a couple of upgrades: the Limited trim now boasts standard adaptive cruise control with stop/start technology, and both trims offer an electronic parking brake with a vehicle hold feature that allows the driver to lift his or her foot from the brake pedal at a stop.
Look for the 2016 Azera Base to feature 18-inch alloy wheels, hands-free entry, and heated power-adjustable mirrors. The Limited features standard 19-inch alloy wheels, a power sunroof, and a fixed rear sunroof.
Inside, both trims feature leather upholstery, heated and ventilated power-adjustable front seats, full power accessories, and telescoping tilt-wheel steering, with the Base trim including regular cruise control. You'll also find a remote garage door opener integrated into an auto-dimming rear-view mirror, a rear-view camera, memory for driver settings, a cooled storage compartment, and dual-zone automatic climate control.
The Bluetooth-integrated Blue Link hands-free system is also standard, with voice-activated GPS navigation, smartphone apps, and Siri Eyes Free technology, all integrated with a center-stack-mounted 6.1-inch color display. Entertainment includes a premium 550-watt, 14-speaker Infinity stereo that hosts a single-CD/MP3 player, satellite radio, HD Radio, and an auxiliary audio input.
The Limited also adds standard rear parking sensors. The only options scheduled for the 2016 Azera are some dealer-installed accessories like upgraded floor mats and cargo management tools.
Returning to the 2016 Azera lineup is a 3.3-liter V6 powerplant that puts out 293 hp and 255 lb-ft of torque. The V6 mates with a 6-speed shiftable automatic transmission that reviewers say isn’t particularly quick but remains admirably smooth. Look for an estimated 20 mpg city/29 highway/23 combined from the Azera Base and 19/28/22 from the Limited. One track test had the Azera going from 0-60 in 6.8 seconds, which is about average for a V6-powered full-sized sedan.
Standard safety equipment aboard the 2016 Azera includes 4-wheel antilock brakes (ABS), traction and stability control, front and rear side-mounted airbags, front and rear head curtain airbags, a driver’s-side knee airbag, turn-signal-integrated mirrors, and blind-spot alerts. Both trims also boast daytime running lights, front fog/driving lights, self-leveling high-intensity-discharge (HID) headlights, and Blue Link emergency telematics. The top-shelf Azera Limited adds standard lane-keeping assistance and a frontal collision warning system. No government safety testing information is available for the Azera, but the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) gives it a top score of Good overall.
The 2016 Azera faces off against such rivals as the Toyota Avalon, Chrysler 300 (with its optional Hemi V8), Buick LaCrosse, and Chevy Impala (with its economical 4-cylinder option). Hyundai-owned Kia also offers some competition with its similarly priced and equipped Cadenza.
4.5 Overall rating
(4 reviews)Absolutely love this car. Have the 2016 limited azera and I personally think this car is way over looked. Super nice interior, has plenty get up and go, and is super reliable. I have 80k miles on it and have only had to change my alternator(besides tires and normal changes)
Lot of luxury car features for the money. More soft big car ride than sporty drive.
Certainly think this car was worth what I paid even at 60,000 miles. Runs pretty good , features are not too far from the 2020 model cars. I purchased my 2015 Hyundai Azera for every drive. Suits the bill and adds little excitement to the ride home . Overall good car and would definitely purchase a newer model when the time comes .
This is my third Azera. I had a 2008 and still own a 2017 Base Model. It is no doubt the best car most people never heard of. It is a very good value, very well equipped with very good and relevant safety features.
