How much does the 2016 Honda CR-V cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 3,937 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2016 Honda CR-V a good car?

Yes — the 4.53/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its reliability, comfortable interior, and good fuel economy, and they also value the spaciousness and useful features for daily driving. That makes it a sensible fit if you want a practical compact crossover with room for passengers and cargo. With 32.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2016 Honda CR-V reliable?

Owners rate it 4.53/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback highlights reliability, and it also describes the CR-V as dependable and a good choice for long-term use. That combination matters if you want a used SUV you can count on for everyday commuting and family duty. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is finding a vehicle whose condition has been unevenly maintained, so a careful inspection still matters.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 Honda CR-V?

At 59.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can confirm accident records, title status, and ownership patterns. After that, prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on body condition, alignment, and signs of prior repair work. It also helps to compare interior wear, tire condition, and service records so you can separate a clean, well-kept example from one that only looks good online.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Honda CR-V?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting a deep buyer’s market.

• Deal availability: 32.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,937 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 59.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $14,935, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Honda CR-V's resale value?

The current average of $15,376 sits slightly below last year's $15,523.

That small decline suggests the market has stayed relatively stable rather than swinging sharply in either direction. For a future seller, that kind of pricing pattern can be helpful because it points to predictable demand instead of a volatile resale environment. If you buy well and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you should have a reasonable path to retaining value over time.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.53/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Honda CR-V or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 32.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 59.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.53/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2015 if:

• At $14,436, the 2015 costs less than the current year's $15,376 average.
• It emphasizes practicality, reliability, and efficiency in a roomy package.

Consider the 2017 if:

• At $17,426, the 2017 costs more than the current year's $15,376 average.
• It adds a redesigned look with strong all-around appeal and excellent fuel economy.

The bottom line: The 2016 is the best primary pick if you want a balanced mix of price, owner satisfaction, and steady market conditions. If you’re more price-sensitive, the 2015 is the value play; if you want the newer redesign and can spend more, the 2017 is the upgrade path.
