Is the 2016 Chrysler 300 a good car?

Yes — the 4.6/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Is the 2016 Chrysler 300 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Some buyers do mention higher maintenance costs and minor quality issues, so you should expect a used example to reward careful upkeep. For long-term ownership, the main risk is buying a neglected car rather than one that has been consistently maintained.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 Chrysler 300?

At 50.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can confirm accident records, title status, and ownership patterns. Then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has higher mileage or incomplete service documentation. Focus on overall condition, including signs of uneven wear, warning lights, alignment behavior, and evidence of deferred maintenance.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Chrysler 300?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting a deep buyer’s market.

If you find a listing below $12,130, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Chrysler 300's resale value?

The current average of $12,130 sits slightly below last year's $12,781.

That softer pricing suggests the model has become more accessible for used buyers, but it also means future sellers may face some pressure if the market stays steady. If you buy well and keep the car in strong condition, you can help protect value better than the average listing. Demand should remain supported by the model’s comfort, feature content, and owner satisfaction.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Chrysler 300 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 27.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 50.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.09% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2017 if:

• At $13,765, the 2017 costs more than the current year's $12,130 average.
• It adds faster Uconnect and new appearance packages.

The bottom line: The 2016 is the better value if you want the lower purchase price and strong owner satisfaction. If you can stretch your budget and want a slightly newer model with updated tech and styling touches, the 2017 is the better secondary path.
