How much does the 2016 Chevrolet Tahoe cost?

Prices have softened 11.69% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,164 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2016 Chevrolet Tahoe a good car?

Yes — the 2016 Chevrolet Tahoe earns a 4.9/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the comfort, spaciousness, and high-end features, and they also like the smooth ride and strong performance. That lines up well if you want a full-size SUV that can handle family duty, towing, and everyday comfort without feeling outdated. With 30.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, you also have a decent chance of finding a competitive price.

Is the 2016 Chevrolet Tahoe reliable?

Owners rate it 4.9/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Reviewers describe it as reliable and a great value for buyers looking for a dependable SUV, with praise centered on ownership confidence and trouble-free use. The overall feedback suggests you can count on it for long-term family and utility duty if you choose a well-kept example. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about the model’s appeal and more about finding one with clean history and consistent maintenance.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 Chevrolet Tahoe?

At 57.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection from a trusted mechanic. Focus on body condition, signs of prior repair, and how well the cabin and electronics have held up, since those are the areas that matter most in a used full-size SUV. If a listing looks unusually cheap, make sure the condition and history justify it.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Chevrolet Tahoe?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on the best examples.

• Deal availability: 30.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,164 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.69% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 57.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $17,971, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Chevrolet Tahoe's resale value?

The current average of $18,003 sits slightly below last year's $20,387.

That price movement suggests the Tahoe has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help limit how much value you lose if you buy at the right price. For a future seller, that also means your return will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and history rather than just model-year demand. A clean, well-maintained example should be easier to move than one with accident history or visible wear.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Chevrolet Tahoe or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 30.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 57.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.69% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2016 is a strong choice if you want a well-liked Tahoe with a lower average price than last year and enough inventory to shop carefully. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on the cleanest, best-documented example rather than chasing the cheapest listing.
