Used 2016 Chevrolet Equinox for Sale near Alabama

How much does the 2016 Chevrolet Equinox cost?

There are 2,293 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for shoppers comparing prices and conditions.

Is the 2016 Chevrolet Equinox a good car?

Generally — the 2016 Chevrolet Equinox earns a 4.47/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners repeatedly praise the spacious interior, the comfort of the ride, and the value for money, and many also like the remote start and backup camera. That makes it a sensible fit if you want a practical compact SUV with room for daily use and family errands. With 28.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a meaningful number of opportunities to shop selectively.

Is the 2016 Chevrolet Equinox reliable?

Owners rate it 4.47/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback also highlights dependable everyday use, with many drivers describing the vehicle as comfortable and confidence-inspiring in tough conditions. The strongest reliability takeaway is that satisfied owners tend to keep using it as a long-term, trouble-free family vehicle. For used buyers, that still means you should watch closely for signs of mechanical wear, because long-term ownership risk can rise if maintenance history is weak.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 Chevrolet Equinox?

At 62.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection on any listing that looks especially clean or unusually cheap. Focus on condition details that can reveal past damage or deferred maintenance, including panel alignment, tire wear, and signs of uneven repairs. If a seller cannot clearly document service history, treat that as a reason to slow down and inspect more carefully.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Chevrolet Equinox?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 28.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,293 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.55% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 62.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $9,426, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Chevrolet Equinox's resale value?

The current average of $9,426 sits slightly below last year's $10,087.

That softer pricing suggests the model has already absorbed some depreciation, which can help future sellers if they buy at the right number today. A lower entry price can leave more room for value retention later, especially if you choose a clean, well-kept example. Strong owner satisfaction also helps keep demand steady when it is time to resell.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.47/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Chevrolet Equinox or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 28.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 62.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.55% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.47/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2015 if:

• At $8,264, the 2015 costs less than the current year's $9,426 average.
• It offers straightforward versatility for family transportation.

The bottom line: If you want the better-balanced shopping environment, the 2016 is the stronger primary choice because it combines a lower current price trend with solid owner satisfaction and decent deal availability. If your top priority is spending less upfront, the 2015 is the better secondary path, especially if you value simple, practical transportation over newer-market pricing.
