Used 2016 Cadillac Escalade ESV for Sale nearSan Jose, CA

How much does the 2016 Cadillac Escalade ESV cost?

Prices have softened 15.74% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 492 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2016 Cadillac Escalade ESV a good car?

Yes — the 5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its luxury, comfort, and storage space, and they also highlight the smooth ride and strong mileage on long trips. For you, that makes it a strong fit if you want a full-size luxury SUV built around space, comfort, and presence. With 33.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2016 Cadillac Escalade ESV reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback emphasizes a dependable-feeling ownership experience centered on comfort, luxury, and long-trip ease. That said, the model’s reputation also includes concerns about the transmission in this generation, so you should treat maintenance history and test-drive behavior as especially important on a used example.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is buying a vehicle whose condition or service history does not match its premium price and size.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 Cadillac Escalade ESV?

At 56.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. Then prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, with extra attention to bodywork quality, alignment, and signs of uneven wear that can point to past collision repairs. Because this is a large luxury SUV, you should also focus on overall condition and maintenance records so you know the vehicle has been cared for as a premium family hauler.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Cadillac Escalade ESV?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 492 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.74% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 56.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $19,920, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Cadillac Escalade ESV's resale value?

The current average of $19,920 sits slightly below last year's $23,642.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the softer pricing means you may need to be more competitive on condition, mileage, and service history to stand out. Strong presentation matters even more when the market is already pricing the model below where it was a year ago.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Cadillac Escalade ESV or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 56.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.74% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of space, comfort, and value, the 2016 is the one to focus on first, especially because prices have eased and owner satisfaction is high. If you are more price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years to see whether a cleaner or better-equipped example offers a better overall deal for your budget.
