Why it stands out
The 2016 Acura MDX combines an elegant design with robust performance and a variety of family-friendly features, establishing itself as a competitive player in the luxury midsize SUV segment. Its 3.5-liter V6 engine generates 290 horsepower, providing quick acceleration suitable for everyday driving needs. The vehicle boasts a refined ride quality and a roomy interior that comfortably accommodates both passengers and cargo, enhancing its appeal for families. Additionally, the MDX comes equipped with a suite of safety technologies, contributing to its impressive safety ratings, including a 10/10 score in safety from experts.
However, the introduction of a new 9-speed automatic transmission has received mixed reviews, with some drivers reporting frequent shifting issues that can detract from the overall driving experience. Despite these concerns, the 2016 MDX remains a popular choice due to its excellent overall value, especially with a strong accident-free percentage and favorable user reviews.

I chose this specific trim (Elite model) for comfort and well… the wide screen entertainment system for my younger kids. For a 8 year old car it drives amazingly. I have driven Hondas, Toyotas Fords but this might be the best I have owned.
