Is the 2015 Subaru WRX a good car?

Yes — the 2015 Subaru WRX earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also emphasizes that the car feels dependable in daily use, with praise centered on performance, value, and how it handles in various conditions. For used buyers, that suggests the bigger ownership risk is less about broad satisfaction and more about finding a well-kept example with a clean history and consistent maintenance.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Subaru WRX?

At 52.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with prior damage. After that, prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has been modified or driven hard. Focus on overall condition, maintenance records, and signs of wear that could point to heavier-than-average use.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Subaru WRX?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 35.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 285 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.46% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 52.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $13,244, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 Subaru WRX's resale value?

The current average of $13,244 sits slightly below last year's $13,719.

That softer pricing can help you buy at a more favorable point, but it also means future resale gains may be limited unless the market tightens. If you plan to sell later, a clean history and strong condition will matter a lot because buyers tend to pay more for well-kept WRXs. The model’s enthusiast appeal should help support demand, but condition will be a major factor in how well it holds value.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2015 Subaru WRX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 35.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 52.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.46% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $14,146, the 2016 costs more than the current year's $13,244 average.
• It adds a more confident, race-inspired driving feel with stronger everyday appeal.

The bottom line: If you want the lower-priced option with strong owner satisfaction, the 2015 is the better starting point. If you’re willing to pay more for a newer model year and a slightly more polished overall package, the 2016 is worth a look. For price-sensitive buyers, the 2015 offers the better value play.
