How much does the 2015 Subaru Crosstrek cost?

Prices have softened 3.42% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,271 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable number of options to compare.

Is the 2015 Subaru Crosstrek a good car?

Generally — the 2015 Subaru Crosstrek earns a 4/5 user rating, which points to solid overall appeal for used shoppers. The overview describes it as a compact crossover with simple mechanicals, real-world usefulness, generous ground clearance, and all-wheel drive, so it fits well if you want practical utility in a small footprint. It also sits close to the Impreza hatchback in price while costing less than the larger Forester, which helps if you want capability without moving up in size. With 33.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market still gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2015 Subaru Crosstrek reliable?

Owners rate it 4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview suggests a straightforward design with simple mechanicals, which can be a plus for used ownership because there is less complexity to worry about. It also emphasizes everyday usefulness, all-wheel-drive capability, and good gas mileage, all of which support a reputation for dependable daily use. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about sophistication and more about finding one that has been maintained well and not worn down by hard use.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Subaru Crosstrek?

At 59.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection on any listing that looks especially clean or unusually cheap. Focus on body condition, signs of prior repair, and whether the car’s wear matches its mileage and asking price. Because this model is often bought for utility and all-weather use, a careful condition check matters as much as the feature list.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Subaru Crosstrek?

This is a moderate market, so you can shop selectively without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 33.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,271 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.42% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 59.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $11,430, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 Subaru Crosstrek's resale value?

The current average of $11,585 sits slightly below last year's $11,995.

That softer pricing can help you as a buyer now, but it also suggests future sellers may need to stay competitive when it is time to trade in or list the car. If the market continues to favor value-conscious shoppers, well-kept examples should hold up better than average-condition ones. A clean history and strong presentation matter more when the broader price trend is drifting down.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2015 Subaru Crosstrek or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 33.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 59.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.42% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $12,490, the 2016 costs more than the current year's $11,585 average.
• It adds more safety tech and a fresher look.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2015 is the stronger starting point because it combines lower pricing with decent deal availability. If you are willing to pay more for added safety features and a fresher presentation, the 2016 is the better upgrade path. For price-sensitive buyers, the 2015 makes the most sense; for shoppers who want more equipment and can stretch the budget, the 2016 is worth the extra money.
