Used 2015 Subaru BRZ for Sale near Virginia

Is the 2015 Subaru BRZ a good car?

Yes — 4.67/5. The expert rating is 7.83/10, and the model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Performance. Owners consistently praise its performance and handling, especially the nimble suspension and manual transmission option, and the BRZ’s appeal is rooted in its driver-focused, compact sports-car mission. It’s best suited to you if you want balance, feedback, and agility more than outright speed, and the market still shows 31.0% good or great deals.

Is the 2015 Subaru BRZ reliable?

Owners rate it 4.67/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. In user feedback, the BRZ is described as fun to drive and a car people enjoy living with over time, with the manual transmission and balanced chassis standing out as recurring strengths. The expert evaluation also frames it as a car with few shortcomings left to iron out, which supports the sense that it’s a mature, well-sorted package. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that some examples may have been driven hard, so condition and maintenance history matter more than mileage alone.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Subaru BRZ?

At 64.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important. You should start with a vehicle history report, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on suspension condition, signs of hard use, and any evidence of modifications. Because this is a driver-focused sports car, you’ll want to pay close attention to how the car feels on the road, not just how it looks in photos.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The standard trim comes with automatic climate control, HID headlights, a tilt/telescoping steering wheel, SiriusXM Radio, and Bluetooth integration, while the Limited adds heated seats, keyless access/start, heated mirrors, leather, a spoiler, and fog lamps.
• Powertrain: The BRZ uses a naturally aspirated 200 hp engine with rear-wheel drive, and the emphasis is on a responsive power band and engaging feel rather than straight-line speed.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes front, side, and side-curtain airbags, antilock brakes, and defeatable traction and stability control.
• Infotainment: The car uses a 6.1-inch touchscreen, and the system is described as frustrating because it can freeze and lag.
• Fuel efficiency: The BRZ is estimated at 22 mpg city/30 highway.

Which 2015 Subaru BRZ trim should I buy?

The 2015 Subaru BRZ is offered in 2 trim levels: standard trim and Limited.

Here's the short version:

• Standard trim: This is the value pick if you want the BRZ’s core driving experience at the lowest entry point. You still get the key enthusiast hardware and a solid standard equipment list, but you give up the Limited’s comfort and convenience upgrades.
• Limited: This is the better choice if you want the most complete version of the BRZ. It adds heated seats, keyless access/start, heated mirrors, leather, a spoiler, and fog lamps, making it the best-value trim for most shoppers who plan to keep the car as a daily driver.

The safety package is standard across the lineup, so you don’t need to move up a trim to get the core protection equipment.

Is the 2015 Subaru BRZ safe?

The 2015 Subaru BRZ earns four-star ratings from NHTSA and an Acceptable result from IIHS in front impacts. It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes front, side, and side-curtain airbags, antilock brakes, and defeatable traction and stability control. The expert evaluation also notes that braking performance is strong, with a stop from 60 mph in less than 115 feet. The main caveat is the front-impact result, which trails the car’s otherwise strong safety showing.

Should I buy a 2015 Subaru BRZ or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 31.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 64.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Owners rate it 4.67/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• For 2015, Subaru added a retuned suspension, new dampers, a sharkfin antenna, fresh exhaust tips, and an all-new limited-edition trim.

The bottom line: If you want the BRZ at its most refined within this generation, the 2015 is a strong pick because it sharpens the formula without changing what makes the car appealing. If you’re shopping mainly on price, a nearby year can still make sense, but you should prioritize the cleanest, best-maintained example you can find over chasing a specific model year.
