Used 2015 Lexus RX for Sale nearCincinnati, OH

How much does the 2015 Lexus RX cost?

Prices have softened 1.17% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 999 listings available, which suggests you should have a workable range of choices.

Is the 2015 Lexus RX a good car?

Yes — the 2015 Lexus RX earns a 4.68/5 user rating and a 6.33/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 8/10.

Owners consistently praise its comfort, reliability, and luxurious interior, and they also call out the smooth ride and strong value for a used luxury SUV. The RX’s quiet cabin and practical nature fit well if you want an easygoing daily driver with a premium feel.

The main trade-offs are that advanced safety features are not standard and the vehicle’s age is starting to show in its competitiveness. That matters most if you want the latest tech or sharper dynamics.

The RX’s broad appeal is strongest if you want a comfortable, practical luxury crossover rather than a sporty one, and 38.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

Is the 2015 Lexus RX reliable?

Owners rate it 4.68/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback repeatedly points to reliability, dependability, and trouble-free ownership, with many drivers describing the RX as a vehicle they can count on over the long term. The expert evaluation also describes it as dependable, and the cost-effectiveness assessment says it is basically bulletproof in terms of durability.

That combination suggests the RX is a strong used-buy candidate if you want long-term ownership confidence, though age-related wear and maintenance history still matter on a vehicle this old.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Lexus RX?

At 49.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing price looks unusually attractive. Focus on body condition, signs of prior repair, and whether the vehicle’s safety and convenience equipment works as expected.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The RX 350 is the main version discussed here, while the F Sport package adds all-wheel drive, an 8-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters, a sport-tuned suspension, bigger wheels and tires, perforated leather upholstery, and unique styling details. The F Sport treatment is the better fit if you want a more assertive look and feel, while the standard RX 350 is the more straightforward comfort-first choice.
• Powertrain: The RX 350 uses a 270-hp, 3.5-liter V6 paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The V6 is described as strong and smooth, while the transmission is geared aggressively and can feel eager in normal driving.
• Safety package: The Vehicle Dynamics Integrated Management system helps stabilize the vehicle when it senses loss of control. Available safety equipment includes front and rear parking sensors, blind-spot information, dynamic cruise control with pre-collision warning, and pre-collision braking. A reversing camera is standard, but rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and a 360-degree camera system are not offered.
• Infotainment: The RX uses a display screen controlled by the Remote Touch controller, and available navigation adds Lexus Enform with a 1-year trial, voice command, enhanced Bluetooth, app access, Destination Assist, and destination sending from a home computer. A rear-seat entertainment system, heads-up display, and Mark Levinson audio are also available.
• Fuel efficiency: The observed fuel economy was 19.3 mpg, and the official combined-driving rating is 21 mpg.

Which 2015 Lexus RX trim should I buy?

The 2015 Lexus RX is offered in 2 trim levels: RX 350 and RX 450h.

Here's the short version:

• RX 350: This is the main gas model and the one most shoppers will want to focus on. It delivers the RX’s core strengths: comfort, practicality, a quiet cabin, and strong value for money. If you want the best balance of price and the RX experience, this is the best-value choice.
• RX 450h: This hybrid version adds performance and efficiency, but it carries a significant price premium. It makes sense if you specifically want the hybrid powertrain and are willing to pay more for it.

The safety package is limited for this generation, and some advanced driver-assistance features are not available at all.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Lexus RX?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 38.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 999 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.17% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 49.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $16,759, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 Lexus RX's resale value?

The current average of $17,215 sits slightly below last year's $17,418.

That mild decline suggests the RX is holding value reasonably well, but not aggressively appreciating. For a future seller, that means you should expect steady demand rather than a big upside from short-term ownership.

The model’s strong reputation for durability and comfort helps support resale appeal, especially among shoppers who want a dependable luxury crossover. If you keep mileage, condition, and maintenance history in good shape, you should be in a better position when it’s time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.68/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2015 Lexus RX safe?

The Lexus RX earns a four-star overall rating from NHTSA for the front-wheel-drive version and a five-star rating for the all-wheel-drive version. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gives it the top rating of Good in four out of five crashworthiness assessments.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

The RX’s safety tech roster is limited for its age. A reversing camera is standard, and Lexus offers front and rear parking sensors, blind-spot information, dynamic cruise control with pre-collision warning, and pre-collision braking. Safety Connect is also standard and active without a subscription for the first year of ownership.

The main caveat is that several now-common features are missing, including rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and a 360-degree camera system.

Should I buy a 2015 Lexus RX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 38.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 49.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.17% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.68/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2015 RX offers excellent value for money, with comfort and practicality as its biggest strengths.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $22,072, the 2016 costs more than the current year's $17,215 average.
• The redesigned model brings a new fourth-generation look and a stronger comfort-first mission.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2015 is the smarter buy because it delivers the RX’s core strengths at a lower price. If you’re willing to spend more for the next-generation redesign, the 2016 is the better path for buyers who want the newer model’s updated appeal.
