Used 2015 Lexus NX for Sale nearDetroit, MI

How much does the 2015 Lexus NX cost?

Prices have softened 5.26% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 401 listings available, which suggests you have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2015 Lexus NX a good car?

Yes — it earns a 5/5 user rating and a 6.3/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Look and feel and Safety.

The 2015 Lexus NX stands out as a daringly styled compact luxury crossover, and that distinctive design is a major part of its appeal if you want something that feels less conventional than the typical luxury SUV. It also brings strong safety and fuel-efficiency strengths, which make it attractive if you value peace of mind and lower running costs in a premium package.

The trade-offs are real: the powertrain is sluggish, the center-stack controls are complicated, and the technology is unintuitive. That means you should expect a more frustrating user experience than the styling suggests.

Only 33.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so the market is somewhat selective rather than broadly discounted.

Is the 2015 Lexus NX reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The NX is described as generally reliable, and it also earns a favorable depreciation rating, which points to better value retention over time. Its strong safety reputation and efficient operation add to the case for ownership if you want a luxury crossover that should be relatively easy to live with.

It also comes with free roadside assistance for the first few years of ownership, which is a useful ownership perk. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about basic durability and more about whether the example you choose has the right equipment and has been maintained well, since many desirable features were optional.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Lexus NX?

At 57.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle-history report and then prioritize a careful pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing has any accident history. Focus on overall condition, signs of prior repair quality, and whether the equipment you want was actually installed when new. Because so many features were optional, you should verify the exact configuration before you buy.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The NX 200t F Sport Package adds unique 18-inch aluminum wheels with upgraded tires, a sport-tuned suspension, revised styling details inside and out, transmission paddle shifters, and performance-oriented gauges. It suits you if you want the most distinctive and driver-focused setup, but the base vehicle leaves many luxury features off the standard equipment list.
• Powertrain: The turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder makes 235 hp and is paired with a 6-speed automatic and all-wheel drive in the tested configuration. The powertrain is efficient, but the transmission can feel confused and the acceleration can be uneven.
• Safety package: Lexus Enform Safety Connect is available, along with blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, a pre-collision system with autonomous braking, parking-assist sensors, and rain-sensing wipers. The rear-view camera is standard, but most other safety features cost extra.
• Infotainment: The Navigation Package adds a navigation system, Lexus Enform services, enhanced Bluetooth, advanced voice-command technology, and a Remote Touchpad controller. A Qi-compatible wireless charging tray is also available.
• Fuel efficiency: The test average was 22.3 mpg, and the EPA combined estimate is 24 mpg.

Which 2015 Lexus NX trim should I buy?

The 2015 Lexus NX is offered in 2 trim levels: NX 200t and NX 300h.

Here's the short version:

• NX 200t: This is the gas model to focus on if you want the core NX experience with the turbocharged 2.0-liter engine. It delivers the styling and efficiency strengths that define the NX, but you should be prepared for the sluggish drivetrain and the fact that many desirable comfort, tech, and safety features were optional.
• NX 300h: Choose this if fuel economy matters most and you want the hybrid powertrain. The content points to the hybrid as the thriftier choice, but it also notes that low gas prices make it harder to justify than the gas model.

The safety content notes that Lexus equips every version with a rear-view camera, while most other safety features are optional.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Lexus NX?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 33.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 401 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.26% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 57.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $17,268, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 Lexus NX's resale value?

The current average of $17,314 sits slightly below last year's $18,276.

That decline suggests the NX has become more affordable for used buyers, which can help you enter the market at a lower cost. For a future seller, the softer pricing trend means you should be realistic about appreciation potential, but the model’s favorable depreciation rating still supports value retention better than many alternatives.

Because the NX combines strong safety, efficiency, and brand appeal, it should remain reasonably marketable if you keep it in good condition. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2015 Lexus NX safe?

The 2015 Lexus NX earns a Top Safety Pick rating from the IIHS.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Lexus equips every NX with a rear-view camera, and available driver-assistance features include Lexus Enform Safety Connect, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, a pre-collision system with autonomous braking, parking-assist sensors, and rain-sensing wipers. The main caveat is that most of these features are optional rather than standard.

Should I buy a 2015 Lexus NX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 33.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 57.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.26% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2015 Lexus NX stands out first for its styling, and it also earns great safety ratings and is fuel-efficient.

The bottom line: If you want the most distinctive styling and a used price that has softened, the 2015 NX is a sensible choice. If you’re shopping primarily on value and want to compare across nearby years, you may find a later NX with a broader feature set or a different configuration that better matches your priorities.
