Used 2015 Jeep Renegade for Sale nearTrenton, NJ

How much does the 2015 Jeep Renegade cost?

Prices have softened 5.98% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 845 listings available, which gives you a workable pool to compare prices and equipment.

Is the 2015 Jeep Renegade a good car?

Generally — 4.4/5 — the 2015 Jeep Renegade earns a 7.17/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Look and feel and Form and function.

You’ll see recurring praise for the Renegade’s comfort, handling, spacious interior, and nice features. The overview also points to its compact size and adventurous personality, which makes it appealing if you want a small crossover with more character than many rivals.

That said, the same owner feedback also points to a weaker engine feel and limited five-passenger comfort, so it fits you best if you value style, space, and everyday livability more than quick acceleration. 30.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still some attractive opportunities in the market.

Is the 2015 Jeep Renegade reliable?

Owners rate it 4.4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner summary points to a dependable-feeling package, with repeated praise for comfort, handling, and a cabin that feels well equipped for daily use. The expert notes also describe the Renegade as an attractive option with a decent powertrain, which supports the idea that it can be a sensible long-term choice if you buy carefully.

The cost-effectiveness notes add that Jeeps generally sit in the middle of the pack for initial quality and dependability, so you should still pay close attention to maintenance history and overall condition. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is ending up with a neglected example that amplifies the model’s already modest powertrain complaints.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Jeep Renegade?

At 59.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing price looks unusually strong. Focus on body condition, signs of prior repair, and whether the equipment level matches the trim you’re considering.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Sport starts with a very basic setup, while Latitude adds more comfort and Limited brings more upscale equipment. The base model can be stripped down enough to include hand-cranking windows, no air conditioning, a radio only, and steel wheels, so you should check carefully for missing convenience features.
• Powertrain: You can choose between a 1.4-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder with a 6-speed manual and a 2.4-liter four with a 9-speed automatic. The smaller engine is the efficiency play, while the larger engine is better suited to light off-roading and towing.
• Safety package: All models include antilock brakes, traction control, and advanced multistage airbags. Latitude and higher versions can add lane-departure warning, forward-collision warning, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-path detection.
• Infotainment: Standard Sport models get a basic AM/FM radio with auxiliary ports. A 5-inch touchscreen with Bluetooth, satellite radio, a backup camera, and air conditioning is available for an added cost, while Latitude, Limited, and Trailhawk versions can be upgraded to navigation and a 6.5-inch display.
• Fuel efficiency: The 1.4-liter turbo returns 24 mpg city, 31 highway, and 27 combined, while the 2.4-liter with 4WD returns 21/29/24. The expert notes also describe mileage in the high 20s overall.

Which 2015 Jeep Renegade trim should I buy?

The 2015 Jeep Renegade is offered in 4 trim levels: Sport, Latitude, Limited, Trailhawk.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the cheapest way in, but it is also the most bare-bones. It makes sense only if you want the lowest entry price and are comfortable adding features later or living with a very simple setup.
• Latitude: This is the best-value choice for most shoppers because it adds more interior comfort and sits in the middle of the lineup without pushing you into the highest-priced trims.
• Limited: This trim is the one to target if you want the more upscale feel, including the 7-inch multifunction display in the gauge cluster and leather standard equipment.
• Trailhawk: Choose this if you want the off-road-focused version, since it is the dedicated adventure trim and comes only with the 2.4-liter engine and automatic transmission.

Latitude and higher versions also unlock the available safety and tech upgrades, so they’re the trims to focus on if you want the most balanced used buy.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Jeep Renegade?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 30.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 845 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.98% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 59.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $9,100, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 Jeep Renegade's resale value?

The current average of $9,100 sits slightly below last year's $9,679.

That softer pricing suggests the Renegade has already moved through some of its early depreciation, which can help future sellers if they buy at the right price. If you purchase near the low end of the range and keep the vehicle in good condition, you may be better positioned when it’s time to resell.

The current market also shows enough demand to keep the model visible to shoppers, especially because it offers a distinctive small-crossover personality. Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2015 Jeep Renegade safe?

The Jeep Renegade has not been evaluated by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety nor the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

All models include antilock brakes, traction control, and advanced multistage airbags. Jeep also offers a suite of optional driver aids on Latitude and higher versions, including lane-departure warning, forward-collision warning, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-path detection.

One caveat is that the Renegade’s safety story leans heavily on available equipment rather than a full set of crash-test results, so you should pay close attention to the specific trim and options on any used example you consider.

Should I buy a 2015 Jeep Renegade or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 30.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 59.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.98% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• Jeep’s all-new small crossover brings off-road chops and a decent powertrain in a compact package.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $9,769, the 2016 costs more than the current year's $9,100 average.
• It adds a more playful, distinctive look and a stronger sense of everyday practicality.

The bottom line: If you want the lower entry price and don’t mind shopping carefully, the 2015 is the better value play. If you’re willing to spend more for a slightly newer example with a more polished overall presentation, the 2016 is the cleaner alternative.
