Used 2015 Jaguar XF for Sale nearChicago, IL

Is the 2015 Jaguar XF a good car?

Generally — 4/5 from you and 8.17/10 from our experts point to a car that lands well for shoppers who want a stylish, luxurious midsize sedan with a more individualistic personality than the usual BMW, Lexus, or Mercedes-Benz alternatives. The model scores 10/10 across Look and feel and Cost effectiveness.

The XF’s appeal comes from its classic front-engine, rear-drive character, even when all-wheel drive is fitted, plus a broad powertrain range that includes a turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder, a supercharged 3.0-liter V6, and a supercharged 5.0-liter V8. It also brings roomy accommodations and strong road manners, while the expert review describes it as a smart buy that costs less and delivers more than much of its competition.

23.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2015 Jaguar XF reliable?

Owners rate it 4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The XF is described as a value-focused luxury sedan with standard equipment that other brands often charge extra for, and its performance-oriented hardware is presented as a core strength rather than a compromise. The expert review also notes that reliability with a complex and sophisticated performance sedan may offer a few surprises along the way.

For used buyers, that means you should expect a rewarding ownership experience, but you should still budget for careful maintenance and verify that the car has been consistently serviced.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Jaguar XF?

At 73.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or one with a performance-oriented powertrain. Focus on overall condition, service records, and signs of wear that could matter more on a luxury sedan with complex equipment.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: XF Sport models add blacked-out trim in place of the normal chrome, while the standard car emphasizes clean, distinctive styling and a premium cabin with wood veneers, stitched leather, aluminum trim, and a touchscreen interface.
• Powertrain: You can choose from a turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder, a supercharged 3.0-liter V6 with 340 hp and 332 lb-ft of torque, or a supercharged 5.0-liter V8; the AWD system is rear-biased and can send power forward when needed.
• Safety package: Standard safety equipment includes airbags, seatbelts with pretensioners, a high-strength-steel body structure, Emergency Brake Assist, Cornering Brake Control, and dynamic stability control.
• Infotainment: The system includes navigation, voice control, parking aids, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, and adaptive front lighting, but the interface is slow to respond and less sophisticated than many rivals.
• Fuel efficiency: The XF is rated at 17/27 mpg city/highway and about 20 mpg combined, with mixed-driving results around 19 mpg.

Which 2015 Jaguar XF trim should I buy?

The 2015 Jaguar XF is offered in 2 trim levels: XF 2.0T Premium and XF 3.0 AWD Sport.

Here's the short version:

• XF 2.0T Premium: This is the entry point, and it gives you the XF’s distinctive styling and luxury feel at the lowest starting price. It makes the most sense if you want the Jaguar look and cabin experience without paying for the stronger powertrain.
• XF 3.0 AWD Sport: This is the best-value trim if you want the XF’s character at its most compelling. The supercharged V6 brings much stronger performance, and the AWD system makes it easier to consider if you live where winter weather matters.
