How much does the 2015 Hyundai Genesis Coupe cost?

Prices are up 6.84% year-over-year — a sign of continued demand for this model year.

There are 91 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2015 Hyundai Genesis Coupe a good car?

Generally — you’re looking at a 4.4/5 user rating and a 6.2/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Performance at 9/10.

Owners consistently praise the performance, speed, and handling, especially with the V6 engine. They also like the sporty design and the fun driving experience, and many say they would choose it again. That lines up with the overview: this is a rear-drive sports coupe aimed at you if you want a performance-focused car and are willing to look beyond the usual Camaro, Challenger, and Mustang choices.

The market also suggests there’s still interest in this model year, with 44.0% of listings marked as good or great deals.

Is the 2015 Hyundai Genesis Coupe reliable?

Owners rate it 4.4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a car that many drivers enjoy enough to want again, and it repeatedly emphasizes performance that feels rewarding over time. The expert notes also say the components people usually associate with reliability appear to be dependable, and the car comes with a generous 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty plus 5-year/50,000-mile basic warranty and roadside assistance coverage.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that this is an aging sports coupe with some known compromises, so condition and maintenance history matter more than mileage alone.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Hyundai Genesis Coupe?

At 49.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a car that may have been driven hard. Focus on signs of wear that match the model’s performance-oriented personality, and pay close attention to how the car drives, brakes, and shifts. Because this is a sports coupe with limited practicality, condition matters more than cosmetic appeal alone.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base 3.8 is the simplest version, while the R-Spec adds 19-inch aluminum wheels, staggered-width performance tires, a track-tuned suspension, Brembo performance brakes, a Torsen limited-slip rear differential, sport seats with cloth inserts and leather bolsters, and a front camber adjustment bolt. The Ultimate trim adds a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation, a 360-watt, 10-speaker Infinity premium sound system, and Blue Link telematics. The R-Spec is the best-value choice if you want the sharpest driving hardware.
• Powertrain: All versions use a 348-hp, 3.8-liter V6, and the car is described as taut, responsive, and quick on real roads. The 6-speed manual is a key part of the experience, though the clutch can be easy to stall at first.
• Safety package: Blue Link adds automatic collision notification and SOS emergency assistance, while the Remote Package adds a car-finder smartphone app, curfew and speed alerts, geofencing-style alerts, and stolen-vehicle slowdown and recovery capabilities. The Ultimate trim also gets rear parking-assist sensors.
• Infotainment: The Ultimate trim gets a 7-inch touchscreen with navigation and a 360-watt, 10-speaker Infinity premium sound system. Lower trims rely on a simpler setup with Bluetooth and an iPod/iPhone connector cable.
• Fuel efficiency: The car averaged 19 mpg in mixed driving, and the expert notes that this is not especially impressive compared with the redesigned Mustang.

Which 2015 Hyundai Genesis Coupe trim should I buy?

The 2015 Hyundai Genesis Coupe is offered in 3 trim levels: base Genesis Coupe 3.8, Genesis Coupe 3.8 R-Spec, Genesis Coupe 3.8 Ultimate.

Here's the short version:

• base Genesis Coupe 3.8: This is the entry point if you want the V6 coupe experience at the lowest price, but it skips the extra chassis and braking hardware that make the car especially appealing to enthusiasts.
• Genesis Coupe 3.8 R-Spec: This is the best-value trim if you care most about driving enjoyment. It adds the performance tires, track-tuned suspension, Brembo brakes, limited-slip differential, and sport seats that make the car feel most focused.
• Genesis Coupe 3.8 Ultimate: Choose this if you want the most comfort and tech, including the 7-inch touchscreen, navigation, premium audio, and Blue Link features.

The Ultimate trim also adds rear parking-assist sensors.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Hyundai Genesis Coupe?

This looks like a moderate buyer’s market, so you can shop selectively and still find reasonable opportunities.

• Deal availability: 44.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 91 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 6.84% year-over-year.
• Clean inventory: 49.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $12,365, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 Hyundai Genesis Coupe's resale value?

The current average of $13,481 sits slightly above last year's $12,618.

That upward move suggests the market has held up reasonably well for this model year. If you’re planning to sell later, the combination of steady pricing and limited inventory can help support demand, especially for cleaner examples with strong service history.

Because this model has a performance-focused reputation, well-kept cars should remain easier to market than neglected ones. A buyer will likely care a lot about condition, originality, and maintenance records, so those details can make a real difference when you resell.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2015 Hyundai Genesis Coupe safe?

The 2015 Hyundai Genesis Coupe earns a 5-star rollover resistance rating from NHTSA.

It earns a 3/10 safety score from our experts.

Aside from the safety-related Blue Link features and rear parking-assist sensors on the Ultimate trim, this car lacks modern safety features. Standard equipment includes airbags, traction and stability control, antilock brakes, and an advanced high-strength steel frame with crumple zones.

The main caveat is that this is an older sports coupe with limited safety tech by modern standards, so you should not expect the driver-assistance coverage you’d find in newer cars.

Should I buy a 2015 Hyundai Genesis Coupe or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 44.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 49.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices are up 6.84% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• The expert review says this car is a genuine blast to drive and especially rewarding if you value performance over practicality.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of driving enjoyment and value, the 2015 is a good year to target, especially if you can find a clean, well-maintained example. If you’re more price-sensitive, focus on the lower end of the market range and prioritize condition over trim extras.

How does the 2015 Hyundai Genesis Coupe compare to the 2015 Ford Mustang?

Our experts score the 2015 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 6.2/10 and the 2015 Ford Mustang 7.3/10.

The Hyundai is the more affordable used buy here, and it offers stronger performance character than its score might suggest. The Mustang brings the higher expert rating, better fuel economy, and far more listings to shop from, which makes it the easier car to find and compare. If you care most about value and a sharp driving feel, the Genesis Coupe has a real case; if you want broader market choice and a stronger all-around package, the Mustang is the safer bet.
