overall

Summary
With 81 currently listed for sale near Denver, CO and an average price of $10,437.00, 21.0% of 2015 Honda Civics for sale on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favorably reviewed: Owners rated the 2015 Honda Civic 4.5 / 5 stars and CarGurus experts gave it an 8.67 / 10.

Why it stands out
The 2015 Honda Civic stands out as a compact economy car that delivers the basics buyers want with unusual ease. It is described as meeting and exceeding small-car preferences for reliability, safety, fuel efficiency, quality, and value, which makes it appealing to shoppers who want a straightforward used car that feels well-rounded rather than compromised.
What also helps the 2015 Civic’s appeal is how broadly it fits everyday use. Owner feedback echoes the same strengths, especially reliability, fuel efficiency, and a user-friendly design, while also pointing to a smooth ride and a spacious interior that suit commuters and first-time buyers. The main tradeoff is that some drivers find it lacking in power and missing features compared with newer models, so it is best viewed as a practical, value-focused choice rather than an especially exciting one.

The 2015 civic is a great value and great first car for a student or a commuter. It has great road feel, spunky power response, and good features. The visibility with the A-pillars is great thanks to the extra window. It will typically cost more vs. other competitors in the same class, but once you drive it you will understand why. I drove a Hyundai Elantra, which has almost all the same feature offerings in terms of technology and safety. For me, the Civic feels lighter, more powerful, more responsive.

If you find a listing below $11,431.58, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
Is the 2015 Honda Civic a good car?
Yes — the 2015 Honda Civic earns a 4.5/5 user rating and an 8.67/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 10/10.
Owners consistently praise its reliability, fuel efficiency, and user-friendly design. The review summary also highlights a smooth ride and a spacious interior, which makes it especially appealing if you want a practical commuter or first-time car. In the context of the Civic’s compact-economy mission, that combination points to a car that covers the basics well without feeling stripped down.
With 29.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have room to shop selectively.
Is the 2015 Honda Civic reliable?
Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
The owner feedback points to reliability, and it also emphasizes fuel efficiency and a user-friendly design, which usually matters when you want a car you can count on day after day. The expert test-drive notes reinforce that dependability with language about thrift and dependability, plus a cost-effective ownership profile. It also includes free roadside assistance for three years or 36,000 miles, which is a nice ownership perk.
For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about the Civic’s core durability and more about finding one that has been maintained well and not worn down by age or heavy use.
What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Honda Civic?
At 47.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the price looks unusually attractive. Focus on body condition, signs of prior repair, and whether the car’s features and equipment still work as expected. Because this model year can vary a lot by trim, it’s worth checking that the specific car you’re considering has the equipment you want.
Key things to evaluate:
- Trim level: Base LX trims are the most affordable, while the EX Sedan adds a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, HondaLink connectivity and services, automatic climate control, LaneWatch technology, push-button engine start, a power sunroof, automatic headlights, and aluminum wheels.
- Powertrain: Most versions use a 1.8-liter 4-cylinder engine with 143 hp and a CVT, and the setup is tuned to make merging and climbing grades relatively effortless. The EPA states 33 mpg in combined driving.
- Safety package: The Civic includes a standard reversing camera, and LaneWatch is standard for all but the Civic LX and SE trims. The system uses a camera on the right mirror to show the passenger-side blind spot on the touchscreen.
- Infotainment: The 7-inch touchscreen appears on trims above LX, and HondaLink adds smartphone connectivity, apps, navigation support, and Siri Eyes Free when paired with an iPhone.
- Fuel efficiency: The EPA states 33 mpg in combined driving, and the test vehicle averaged 31.9 mpg without Econ mode engaged.
Which 2015 Honda Civic trim should I buy?
The 2015 Honda Civic is offered in 6 trim levels: LX, EX Sedan, Civic Hybrid, Civic Si, Civic Natural Gas, and SE.
Here's the short version:
- Base trim: The LX is the most affordable choice, but it lacks the touchscreen infotainment system and HondaLink connectivity that appear above it. It also misses LaneWatch, which is standard on all but the LX and SE trims.
- Sweet-spot trim: The EX Sedan is the most compelling everyday pick because it adds the 7-inch touchscreen, HondaLink, automatic climate control, push-button start, a power sunroof, and automatic headlights.
- Premium/top trim: The Civic Si is the most fun-to-drive option, while the Civic Hybrid is the most efficient. The EX Sedan also brings a more complete feature set than the base trim without moving into specialty-model territory.
- Off-road trim: None.
The safety-package note is simple: LaneWatch is standard on all but the Civic LX and SE trims.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Honda Civic?
This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without expecting a fire-sale environment.
- Deal availability: 29.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 2,148 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have held steady with last year.
- Clean inventory: 47.3% of listings are accident-free.
If you find a listing below $11,431.58, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2015 Honda Civic's resale value?
The current average of $12,262 sits slightly above last year's $12,175.
That kind of stability suggests the Civic is holding value rather than swinging sharply up or down. For a future seller, that usually means you’re less exposed to sudden depreciation if you buy at a reasonable price and keep the car in good condition. The model’s broad appeal and strong ownership reputation also help support demand in the used market.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Is the 2015 Honda Civic safe?
It earns a five-star overall rating from NHTSA and a Top Safety Pick rating from IIHS.
It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.
The Civic comes with a standard reversing camera, and HondaLink Assist can automatically call the authorities in the event of a collision when paired and enabled. LaneWatch is standard on all but the LX and SE trims, using a camera on the right mirror to show the passenger-side blind spot on the touchscreen. The main caveat is that this system is not as intuitive as a traditional blind-spot monitoring setup, so you should make sure you’re comfortable with how it works before buying.
Should I buy a 2015 Honda Civic or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2015 if:
- 29.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- At 47.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
- Price trend: Prices have held steady with last year.
- Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
- The 2015 Civic blends reliability, safety, fuel efficiency, and value in a straightforward compact package.
Consider the 2014 if:
- At $11,317, the 2014 costs less than the current year's $12,262 average.
- It feels refined and capable, with strong everyday competence.
Consider the 2016 if:
- At $13,918, the 2016 costs more than the current year's $12,262 average.
- It brings a more modern, polished, and stylish redesign.
The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price stability, strong owner satisfaction, and broad everyday usefulness, the 2015 is the safer default choice. If your budget is tighter, the 2014 can save you money while still delivering the Civic’s core strengths. If you want a more modern feel and can spend more, the 2016 is the better upgrade path.
