How much does the 2015 Honda CR-V cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 3,855 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare on price, mileage, and condition.

Is the 2015 Honda CR-V a good car?

Yes — the 2015 Honda CR-V earns a 4.5/5 user rating and an 8.5/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, Cost effectiveness, and Safety.

You get a practical SUV that’s praised for its smooth ride, spacious trunk, and solid build quality. The overview also points to its roomy, everyday-useful layout and its reputation for practicality, reliability, and efficiency, which makes it a strong fit if you want a sensible family hauler or commuter-friendly crossover. Even so, some owners call out the 4-cylinder engine’s performance and a few missing conveniences.

Good and great deals percentage: 31.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so there’s still room to find a competitive offer.

Is the 2015 Honda CR-V reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Drivers repeatedly point to the CR-V’s solid build quality and its reputation for reliability, while the expert review describes a near-sterling record for dependability. The performance write-up also emphasizes smooth, peppy power delivery and a well-sorted CVT, which supports the sense that the drivetrain is designed to be easy to live with over time. Honda’s cost-effectiveness notes add that the brand provides free roadside assistance for the first 3 years or 36,000 miles of ownership.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about outright durability and more about finding a well-kept example that hasn’t been neglected or worn down by age and mileage.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Honda CR-V?

At 57% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from ones with prior damage or repeated claims. After that, prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on the drivetrain, suspension, and any signs of vibration or uneven wear. It also helps to compare interior condition and feature operation carefully, since owner feedback mentions missing conveniences and some concerns about safety-related tech.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Touring trim adds a power rear liftgate, adaptive cruise control, a forward-collision mitigation system, a navigation system, and 18-inch aluminum wheels, while the lower trims are more basic in equipment.
• Powertrain: The 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine is paired with a CVT and is described as smooth and peppy, with more torque than the previous engine.
• Safety package: Honda’s safety suite includes LaneWatch camera technology, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, forward-collision warning, and collision-mitigation braking; some of these features are reserved for the Touring trim.
• Infotainment: The CR-V uses a 7-inch touchscreen with Bluetooth audio streaming, text-messaging support, a USB port, an auxiliary input jack, and HondaLink smartphone integration.
• Fuel efficiency: The expert review notes an EPA combined rating of 28 mpg and reports 24.8 mpg in real-world highway-heavy driving.

Which 2015 Honda CR-V trim should I buy?

The 2015 Honda CR-V is offered in 4 trim levels: LX, EX, EX-L, Touring.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the entry point, so it makes sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the CR-V and can live with a simpler feature set.
• EX: This is the best-value choice for many shoppers because it adds more everyday convenience and keeps the CR-V’s core strengths intact without pushing too far up the price ladder.
• EX-L: Choose this if you want a more upscale feel and are willing to pay for additional comfort and equipment.
• Touring: This is the most fully equipped version, adding the most advanced convenience and safety features, so it suits you best if you want the top trim and are willing to pay for it.

The Touring trim is the one that gets the extra safety and driver-assistance equipment, while the lower trims are more straightforward.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Honda CR-V?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting a deep bargain on every listing.

• Deal availability: 31.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,855 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 57.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $13,527, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 Honda CR-V's resale value?

The current average of $14,223 sits slightly above last year's $14,149.

That small increase suggests the CR-V has held its value fairly well, which is a good sign if you plan to sell later. Stable pricing also points to steady demand rather than a sharp drop-off, so you’re less likely to see a dramatic hit from market softness. Because the model has a strong reputation for practicality and dependability, it tends to remain appealing to used buyers over time.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2015 Honda CR-V safe?

The 2015 Honda CR-V earns a Top Safety Pick rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and a four-star overall rating from NHTSA, with five-star ratings in every assessment except rollover resistance and front passenger protection in a frontal-impact collision, where it earns four stars.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda’s safety suite includes LaneWatch camera technology for the right side of the vehicle, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, forward-collision warning, and collision-mitigation braking. SmartVent airbags are also part of the package. Some of the more advanced safety features are reserved for the Touring trim, and the review notes that LaneWatch and lane-departure warning can be frustrating to use.

Should I buy a 2015 Honda CR-V or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 31.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 57% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It adds a refreshed look, a more fuel-efficient engine, and upgraded safety and convenience features over the prior year.

The bottom line: The 2015 CR-V is a smart pick if you want a well-rounded used SUV with strong practicality, good owner satisfaction, and a stable price trend. If you’re shopping more aggressively on price, a nearby older year may save you money, but the 2015 gives you a better mix of updates and everyday usability.

How does the 2015 Honda CR-V compare to the 2015 Toyota RAV4?

Our experts score the 2015 Honda CR-V 8.5/10 and the 2015 Toyota RAV4 7.3/10.

The CR-V comes out ahead on expert scoring, used price, fuel economy, and listing volume, while the RAV4 trails slightly on those measures. Both SUVs offer similar deal shares, but the CR-V has a higher accident-free share, which may make it easier for you to find a cleaner example. If you want the stronger all-around value and broader inventory, the CR-V is the better bet; if you’re cross-shopping, the RAV4 remains a reasonable alternative.
