What should I look for when buying a used 2014 Volvo XC60?

At 62.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with accident records. After that, prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, with extra attention to body condition, alignment, and signs of uneven wear. Because this model’s value is tied to safety, comfort, and condition, a clean, well-kept example is the one most worth pursuing.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Volvo XC60?

This is a moderate market, so you can shop selectively without expecting a deep buyer’s market.

• Deal availability: 32.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 337 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.39% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 62.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $8,410, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 Volvo XC60's resale value?

The current average of $8,468 sits slightly below last year's $10,008.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you buy at the right price and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you can reduce the impact of further depreciation. The model’s safety reputation and premium positioning should still help it remain appealing to shoppers who want a compact luxury crossover with a strong identity.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2014 Volvo XC60 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 32.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 62.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.39% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the XC60’s safety-first character, premium feel, and refreshed styling at a lower current price, the 2014 is a sensible target. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on the cleanest, best-maintained example rather than the cheapest one.
