Yes — the 4.67/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its reliable performance, safety features, upgraded standard equipment, all-wheel drive capability, handling, and long-term durability.

That fits the 2014 Outback’s practical, capable use case well: you’re looking at a wagon-crossover built for everyday usefulness, broad utility, and confidence in different driving conditions. The user feedback emphasizes reliable performance, long-term durability, and a trouble-free ownership experience for many drivers. It also highlights the Outback’s dependable all-wheel drive capability and the confidence that comes with it.

For used buyers, that suggests the model can be a sensible long-term choice if you verify condition carefully and avoid examples with neglected maintenance or unresolved wear.

What should I look for when buying a used 2014 Subaru Outback?

At 60% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection on any car that looks promising. Focus on body condition, signs of prior repair quality, and whether the car has been maintained consistently, since those factors matter more than mileage alone on an older used vehicle.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Subaru Outback?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 30.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,201 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.22% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 60.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $9,004, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 Subaru Outback's resale value?

The current average of $9,040 sits slightly below last year's $9,744.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point. For a future seller, it also means resale value may depend heavily on condition, maintenance history, and how well the car stands out against similar listings.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.67/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2014 Subaru Outback or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 30.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 60% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.22% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.67/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2015 if:

• At $10,680, the 2015 costs more than the current year's $9,040 average.
• The redesign makes the Outback bigger and better while keeping fuel economy friendly.

The bottom line: If you want the lower-cost path, the 2014 is the better value play because it combines a softer price, strong owner satisfaction, and decent deal availability. If you can stretch your budget and want the newer redesign, the 2015 is the better secondary path for buyers who value the updated package more than the savings.
