How much does the 2014 RAM 1500 cost?

Prices have softened 7.51% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,181 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of trucks to compare.

Is the 2014 RAM 1500 a good car?

Yes — the 4.5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its powerful performance, excellent ride quality, spacious interior, and the many features and comforts it offers for the price. That makes it a good fit if you want a full-size pickup that feels more refined and comfortable than many rivals while still delivering practical capability. With 31.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding attractive pricing.

Is the 2014 RAM 1500 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also highlights a truck that feels solid, dependable, and good value over time, with many drivers appreciating its comfort and overall ownership experience. At the same time, some owners mention gas mileage concerns and mechanical issues, so a careful inspection matters if you want to reduce long-term ownership risk.

What should I look for when buying a used 2014 RAM 1500?

At 64.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection from a trusted mechanic. Focus on condition details that can affect ownership costs, including signs of prior damage, mechanical wear, and any evidence that the truck’s comfort and capability features have been neglected.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 RAM 1500?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 31.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,181 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.51% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 64.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $14,426, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 RAM 1500's resale value?

The current average of $14,426 sits slightly below last year's $15,598.

That softer pricing can help you buy at a more favorable point, but it also suggests resale values have eased compared with a year ago. If you plan to sell later, the best protection is buying well, keeping mileage reasonable, and choosing a truck with clean history and strong condition. Trucks that stay desirable with shoppers tend to hold demand better when it is time to trade in or list privately.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2014 RAM 1500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 31.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 64.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.51% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2015 if:

• At $15,695, the 2015 costs more than the current year's $14,426 average.
• It adds a broader cabin range and a more compelling overall powertrain lineup.

The 2014 makes the most sense if you want the lower entry price and still value the truck’s comfort, ride quality, and owner satisfaction. If you can spend more and want a newer alternative with a broader cabin range, the 2015 is the better upgrade path. For price-sensitive buyers, the 2014 is the smarter starting point.
