Why it stands out
The 2014 Nissan Titan stands out as a full-size truck that brought a standard V8, a quiet cabin, and accessible tech to a segment where Nissan never matched the configurability of its bigger rivals. It was also known for its off-road ability and comfortable interior, and it offered features such as Bluetooth phone connectivity, air conditioning, and a back-up camera before those items were common on trucks. For buyers who wanted a used full-size pickup with a more distinctive personality, the Titan’s combination of capability and everyday comfort gave it a clear identity.
What made the 2014 model especially appealing was the way it balanced utility with thoughtful equipment. The Titan offered the Utili-Track-channel system and in-bed cargo boxes for better load management, and the first-generation truck also had an off-road package with Rancho performance gas shocks, BF Goodrich Rugged Trail tires, skid plates, fog lamps, and tow hooks. At the same time, it was limited to two cab configurations and one powertrain, and its poor fuel economy, lack of configurability, and plasticky interior materials were real drawbacks. Still, for shoppers who value a straightforward V8 truck with useful features and a decent reputation for reliability, the 2014 Nissan Titan remains distinctive.

like the truck very much. It's my 4th one. great towing truck. large cabin, very comfortable, fuel mpg good for a truck even while towing 24 ft inclosed trailer. I like the bright red color but they don't offer it every year.

How much does the 2014 Nissan Titan cost?
| Metric | Value |
|---|---|
| Current Average Price | $14,711 |
| Year-Round Low | $14,057 |
| Year-Round High | $15,438 |
| Average Price a Year Ago | $14,759 |
| Change vs. Last Year | −0.33% |
Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.
There are 188 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare before you buy.
Is the 2014 Nissan Titan a good car?
Yes — the 5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction for this model year. The Titan’s overview highlights a full-size truck with a standard V8, a quiet cabin, accessible tech, and a comfortable interior, which makes it appealing if you want a straightforward used pickup with a distinct personality. It also stands out for useful equipment like Bluetooth phone connectivity, air conditioning, and a back-up camera, along with off-road capability and practical cargo-management features. The market shows 27.7% of listings as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.
Is the 2014 Nissan Titan reliable?
Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
The Titan’s overview also describes it as having a decent reputation for reliability, which supports its appeal as a used full-size truck. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that a truck with this age and usage history can vary a lot in condition, so maintenance records and prior care matter.
What should I look for when buying a used 2014 Nissan Titan?
At 58.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from trucks with past damage or repeated claims. Put the inspection priority on structural condition, signs of repair, and how well the truck has been maintained over time. Because the Titan’s appeal depends on being a straightforward, durable used pickup, condition should matter as much as mileage and price.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Nissan Titan?
This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.
- Deal availability: 27.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 188 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
- Clean inventory: 58.5% of listings are accident-free.
If you find a listing below $14,057, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2014 Nissan Titan's resale value?
The current average of $14,711 sits slightly below last year's $14,759.
That small decline suggests the Titan has been holding value fairly steadily rather than swinging sharply up or down. For a future seller, that kind of pricing pattern can be helpful because it points to a market that is relatively predictable. If you keep the truck in strong condition and document maintenance, you give yourself a better chance of attracting buyers when it’s time to sell.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Should I buy a 2014 Nissan Titan or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2014 if:
- 27.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- At 58.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
- Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
The bottom line: If you want a used full-size truck with a distinctive character, a standard V8, and a stable price profile, the 2014 Titan is the primary year to focus on. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years to see whether a cleaner or better-equipped example offers more value for the money.
