Is the 2014 Nissan Pathfinder a good car?

Generally — the 2014 Nissan Pathfinder earns a 4/5 user rating, which points to a generally positive ownership experience. Owners commonly praise its spacious interior, comfortable family-friendly layout, and strong everyday versatility. It also fits well if you want a three-row SUV with useful features and room for travel. With 27.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2014 Nissan Pathfinder reliable?

Owners rate it 4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback also highlights dependable family use, but it is tempered by repeated concerns about the CVT transmission. That mix suggests you should focus on maintenance history and how the drivetrain behaves under load. For used buyers, long-term ownership risk is most tied to transmission condition, so a careful inspection matters more than mileage alone.

What should I look for when buying a used 2014 Nissan Pathfinder?

At 54.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. Put the transmission at the top of your inspection list, especially during a thorough test drive that includes stop-and-go driving and highway acceleration. Focus on overall condition, maintenance records, and any signs of jerking, hesitation, or overheating.

What is the 2014 Nissan Pathfinder's resale value?

The current average of $8,030 sits slightly below last year's $8,824.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point. For a future seller, it also means resale value may remain sensitive to condition, mileage, and maintenance history. Well-kept examples should hold up better than average, especially if they present clean records and strong mechanical performance.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2014 Nissan Pathfinder or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 27.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 54.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.99% compared with last year.
