Used 2014 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class for Sale near New Jersey

How much does the 2014 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class cost?

Prices have softened 6.08% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 223 listings available, which gives you a reasonable amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2014 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class a good car?

Yes — the 5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the car’s incredible performance, luxurious comfort, retractable roof, and attention to detail, which fits its role as a luxury roadster with everyday usability. If you want a grand-touring convertible that emphasizes speed and refinement, this model year lines up well with that use case. With 33.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is also meaningful market opportunity if you shop carefully.

Is the 2014 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also highlights dependable enjoyment from the car’s performance and comfort, with the retractable roof and design details standing out as strengths. At the same time, the brake system concern suggests you should treat maintenance history and repair records as especially important on a used example. For long-term ownership, the main risk is that a complex luxury roadster can become expensive if prior care was inconsistent.

What should I look for when buying a used 2014 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class?

At 70.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. Put inspection priority on the brake system, since owners have raised concerns about failure and repair cost. You should also focus on overall condition and maintenance records, because this is a complex luxury car where deferred service can quickly become expensive.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find opportunities.

• Deal availability: 33.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 223 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.08% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 70.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $30,460, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class's resale value?

The current average of $31,914 sits slightly below last year's $33,981.

That softer pricing suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point. For a future seller, that also means resale value will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and documentation, since buyers in this segment tend to be selective. Well-kept examples should hold up better than neglected ones because luxury-roadster shoppers usually pay for confidence as much as style.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2014 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 33.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 70.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.08% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of value and owner approval, the 2014 is the better starting point, especially because prices have eased and there are still enough listings to compare. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may want to keep shopping nearby years and focus on the cleanest, best-documented example rather than chasing the lowest sticker price.
