How much does the 2014 MINI Cooper cost?

There are 507 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2014 MINI Cooper a good car?

Yes — the 2014 MINI Cooper earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the fun driving experience, solid feel, and value for money, and many also like the quick acceleration and stylish design. That makes it a good fit if you want a small, premium-feeling car with personality rather than a plain commuter. With 29.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2014 MINI Cooper reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free experience for many drivers, with the kind of long-term appeal that keeps people attached to the car. At the same time, some owners mention maintenance concerns, so used buyers should plan for a careful inspection and budget for ownership risk over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2014 MINI Cooper?

At 62.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection from a mechanic who can check for prior damage and repair quality. Focus closely on overall condition, maintenance records, and any signs of deferred upkeep, since those details matter more when a car has a mixed reliability reputation.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 MINI Cooper?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 29.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 507 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.84% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 62.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $8,740, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 MINI Cooper's resale value?

The current average of $9,012 sits slightly below last year's $9,372.

That softer pricing can help you buy at a more favorable entry point, but it also suggests resale gains may be limited if the market stays steady. If you plan to sell later, condition and maintenance history will matter a lot, especially because buyers in this segment tend to reward well-kept examples. Strong demand for the MINI's style and driving character can still support value, but the best-kept cars will usually hold up better than average ones.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2014 MINI Cooper or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 29.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 62.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.84% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2015 if:

• At $9,550, the 2015 costs more than the current year's $9,012 average.
• It adds a 4-door option for more everyday flexibility.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2014 is the stronger starting point because pricing has eased and owner satisfaction is excellent. If you’re willing to pay more for a newer model with a bit more practicality, the 2015 is the better secondary path for price-sensitive buyers who want the MINI formula with added flexibility.
