How much does the 2014 Hyundai Tucson cost?

Prices have softened 8.05% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 362 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2014 Hyundai Tucson a good car?

The 2014 Hyundai Tucson stands out as part of a generation that marked a clear step forward for Hyundai. Its design was more distinctive and attractive than before, and the cabin followed suit with more purposeful styling, more soft-touch surfaces, and fewer hard plastics.

It also grew in size, gaining rear-passenger headroom and legroom while still keeping the compact-SUV footprint that made the Tucson appealing in the first place. That makes it a practical fit if you want a small SUV that feels a bit roomier and more polished than earlier versions.

The market also shows 29.6% of listings as good or great deals, which suggests you can still find attractive pricing if you shop carefully.

Is the 2014 Hyundai Tucson reliable?

The 2014 Hyundai Tucson is presented as a more polished version of Hyundai’s compact SUV formula, with improved interior quality and a broader, more mature lineup than before. It also kept the practical packaging and available all-wheel drive that helped make it appealing to everyday buyers.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that age and prior use matter more than the badge itself, so condition and maintenance history should drive your decision.

What should I look for when buying a used 2014 Hyundai Tucson?

At 63.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection so you can confirm the structure, suspension, and drivetrain are in good shape. Focus on overall condition and documentation, especially if you’re comparing similarly priced examples.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Hyundai Tucson?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be choosy without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 29.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 362 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.05% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 63.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $8,595, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 Hyundai Tucson's resale value?

The current average of $8,665 sits slightly below last year's $9,424.

That softer pricing suggests the Tucson has become more affordable for buyers, but it also means a future seller may need to price competitively to stand out. If you buy well now, you may have less downside risk than someone who paid closer to last year’s average. Condition, mileage, and accident history will matter a lot when it’s time to resell.

Should I buy a 2014 Hyundai Tucson or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 29.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 63.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.05% compared with last year.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2014 if you want a more affordable Tucson with a decent amount of inventory and a market that still offers some value opportunities. If you’re especially price-sensitive, keep an eye out for the best-condition examples and compare them closely against nearby model years before deciding.
