Why it stands out
The 2014 Honda Pilot is designed with family needs in mind, prioritizing spaciousness and functionality over flashy design. It features a roomy interior capable of accommodating up to eight passengers, making it an ideal choice for larger families or those needing extra seating. The reliability of this SUV is a significant selling point, with many owners expressing appreciation for its sturdy build and reputation for longevity. While the exterior design might lack the sleekness of more modern competitors, the Pilot offers a practical interior with ample storage space and a functional layout.
Under the hood, the 2014 Pilot is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 engine that delivers reliable performance, producing up to 250 horsepower. Its handling is commendable for a vehicle of its size, and it provides a comfortable ride both in urban traffic and on longer journeys. However, some drivers have reported issues such as hard shifting and a wider turn radius, which may detract from the driving experience. Despite these minor drawbacks, the Pilot's strong safety ratings and high overall utility make it a solid choice for buyers in the midsize SUV segment.

I cant say enough about this vehicle. Its my truck!! I currently have a 2009 and I will be upgrading to this model. The safety rating is high , and very comfortable at that. The cargo space stands out above all others, all adults and children in carseats have space. Most vesitile vehicle seat related, cant beat 8 seats!! Love this vehicle!!

The pilot is a solid vehicle if you take care of it. My sister in law bought one new in 2003 and still has it. My son has a 2013 with 111,000 miles. If you take of it and do the required maintenance it will last well over 200,000 miles. Dont skip the timing belt interval this is a interface engine and will be junk if the belt breaks.

The Pilot seems to be in good condition. That said, it had been involved in a more serious accident which gave me reason to hold off on its purchase. In addition there were approximately $2,000 in fees that made me walk away.

I sold Hondas for 5 years and the only thing I would change is the brand of tires. I would go with Michelins which is what came on them from the factory when I was selling them.
