How much does the 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe cost?

Prices have softened 5.43% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,015 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe a good car?

The 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe is a solid fit if you want a large SUV with straightforward capability and family-friendly utility, and its user rating is 3.67/5. Owners commonly praise its strong engine, spacious interior, and usefulness for families and long trips, while also noting its high price, outdated electronics, and occasional transmission issues. With three rows of seating, available seating for up to nine, and strong towing ability, it works best if you value space and utility over modern tech polish. With 27.9% of listings priced as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe reliable?

The 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe is built around a simple, proven setup with a 355hp 5.3-liter V8, a six-speed automatic transmission, and rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive. Owners describe it as strong and spacious, and that combination can make it feel dependable for family use and long trips. At the same time, some drivers mention occasional transmission issues, so a careful pre-purchase inspection matters. For used buyers, long-term ownership risk is best managed by checking service history closely and avoiding examples with signs of neglected maintenance.

What should I look for when buying a used 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe?

At 57.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a thorough inspection of body panels, alignment, and any signs of prior repair. Focus on overall condition and maintenance records, especially if you plan to keep the SUV for family duty or towing. Because this model can be expensive to own if problems are ignored, it is worth paying extra attention to how the transmission, electronics, and interior systems feel during a test drive.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 27.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,015 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.43% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 57.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $12,206, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe's resale value?

The current average of $12,381 sits slightly below last year's $13,092.

That softer pricing can help you buy more affordably now, but it also means future resale gains may be limited unless you choose a clean, well-maintained example. If you plan to sell later, condition and documented maintenance will matter a lot because buyers will likely compare your Tahoe against similarly priced listings. A lower entry price can still work in your favor if you keep the SUV in strong shape and avoid examples with accident history or deferred repairs.

Should I buy a 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 27.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 57.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.43% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2014 Tahoe makes sense if you want the simpler, proven version of this full-size SUV and you can find a clean example with solid maintenance history. If you are price-sensitive, the current market gives you enough deal activity to shop carefully, but you should still compare condition closely against nearby model years before deciding.
