How much does the 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe cost?

Prices have softened 4.08% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,027 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare on price and condition.

Is the 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe a good car?

The 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe can be a strong fit if you want a large SUV with straightforward V8 power and family-friendly space, and its 3.7/5 user rating suggests owners see clear strengths alongside some tradeoffs. Reviewers commonly praise the strong engine, spacious interior, and long-trip usefulness, while also noting the high price, outdated electronics, and occasional transmission issues. In practical terms, it makes the most sense if you value towing ability, three-row seating, and a traditional full-size SUV layout more than modern tech polish. With 31.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe reliable?

The 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe stands out as a full-size SUV that emphasizes space, towing ability, and straightforward V8 power. Owners describe it as strong and spacious, and the review summary also points to a generally dependable feel for family use and long trips, even if some drivers mention transmission concerns. That means you should treat maintenance history and test-drive behavior as especially important, because long-term ownership risk is tied more to condition and upkeep than to the basic formula itself.

What should I look for when buying a used 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe?

At 55.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any reported damage was repaired properly. Put the inspection priority on body condition, panel alignment, tire wear, and how the transmission shifts during a test drive. Because this is a large SUV that may have been used for family hauling or towing, focus on signs of heavy use and make sure the cabin, suspension, and drivetrain all feel consistent.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer's market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly when a clean, well-priced listing appears.

• Deal availability: 31.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,027 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.08% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 55.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $12,206, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe's resale value?

The current average of $12,252 sits slightly below last year's $12,773.

That price movement suggests the Tahoe has softened enough to help you buy more carefully, but it also means future resale may depend heavily on how well you preserve condition and maintenance records. If you keep mileage reasonable and avoid accident history, you should be in a better position when it comes time to sell. For a future seller, a clean history and strong service documentation will matter more than hoping for a broad market rebound.

Should I buy a 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 31.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 55.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.08% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2014 Tahoe is a sensible choice if you want the core Tahoe formula at a lower used price and are willing to shop carefully for condition. If you are price-sensitive, this year can make sense as long as you prioritize a clean history and a thorough inspection; if you want a broader pool of cleaner examples, you may want to compare nearby years before deciding.
