How much does the 2014 Cadillac Escalade cost?

Prices have softened 8.30% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 365 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2014 Cadillac Escalade a good car?

Generally — the 4/5 user rating suggests you’re looking at a model year that satisfies many shoppers. The 2014 Escalade is a full-size luxury SUV with a distinctive, aggressive design, a refined interior, and a strong equipment list, so it fits well if you want size, luxury, and utility in one package. It also keeps traditional body-on-frame construction and offers rear-wheel drive with all-wheel drive available, which supports its truck-based capability. The market shows 29.0% of listings as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2014 Cadillac Escalade reliable?

Owners rate it 4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2014 Escalade’s appeal comes from its substantial powertrain, strong towing capacity, and upscale feature content, all of which point to a vehicle built for confident everyday use. At the same time, its size, complexity, and luxury equipment mean you should expect maintenance and ownership costs to matter more than they would on a simpler SUV. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is paying for a high-mileage example that has been poorly maintained or heavily worn.

What should I look for when buying a used 2014 Cadillac Escalade?

At 56.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection from a mechanic who can evaluate body, suspension, electronics, and drivetrain condition. Focus closely on signs of prior damage, uneven wear, and any issues with the power features and infotainment system, since those can be expensive to sort out on a luxury SUV like this.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Cadillac Escalade?

This looks like a moderate market where selective buyers can still find value if they shop carefully.

• Deal availability: 29.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 365 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.30% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 56.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $15,116, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 Cadillac Escalade's resale value?

The current average of $15,384 sits slightly below last year's $16,777.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy more confidently now but may also limit near-term upside if you plan to resell soon. If you own one for the long haul, the best resale outcomes will likely come from examples with clean history, strong maintenance records, and desirable equipment. Because the model still carries strong name recognition and a luxury image, well-kept examples should remain easier to move than neglected ones.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2014 Cadillac Escalade or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 29.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 56.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.30% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2015 if:

• At $19,375, the 2015 costs more than the current year's $15,384 average.
• The redesign adds a more statement-making look and stronger presence.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2014 is the primary path because it combines a lower average price with meaningful deal availability. If you’re price-sensitive and want the traditional Escalade formula without stretching to the next year’s premium, the 2014 makes more sense; if image and redesign matter more than value, the 2015 is the secondary path.
