What should I look for when buying a used 2014 Buick Enclave?

At 59.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing price looks unusually attractive. Focus on body condition, signs of prior repair, and whether the vehicle’s equipment and safety features still function as expected.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Convenience trim brings tri-zone automatic climate control, remote start, 18-inch alloy wheels, automatic HID headlights, a power liftgate, heated mirrors with integrated turn signals, and 7-passenger seating with second-row captain’s chairs and a split-folding third-row bench. Leather adds heated front seats, memory settings for 2 drivers, and 19-inch alloys. Premium adds a power tilt and telescoping steering wheel, heated and cooled front seats, additional safety features, auto-dimming and power-folding exterior mirrors, 19-inch chrome rims, standard Bose speakers, and adaptive headlights.
• Powertrain: The Enclave uses a 3.6-liter V6 with 288 hp and 270 lb-ft of torque paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission. EPA estimates are 17 mpg city, 24 mpg highway, and 19 mpg combined for FWD models, and 16 mpg city, 22 mpg highway, and 18 mpg combined for AWD models.
• Safety package: Standard safety equipment includes 4-wheel antilock disc brakes, 7 airbags, electronic stability control, a rear-view camera, rear parking sensors, and OnStar telematics with emergency response services. Leather adds a blind-spot monitor with cross-traffic alert, while Premium adds lane-departure warning and forward-collision alert.
• Infotainment: The Enclave uses a 6.5-inch touchscreen with Bluetooth connectivity, voice recognition, text-to-voice functionality, rear charge-only USB ports, and integrated smartphone-based apps such as Pandora and Stitcher. A Wi-Fi Connectivity Package is optional.
• Fuel efficiency: FWD models are rated at 17 mpg city, 24 mpg highway, and 19 mpg combined, while AWD models are rated at 16 mpg city, 22 mpg highway, and 18 mpg combined.

Which 2014 Buick Enclave trim should I buy?

The 2014 Buick Enclave is offered in 3 trim levels: Convenience, Leather, Premium.

Here's the short version:

• Convenience: This is the entry point, but it still gives you a strong equipment list with tri-zone climate control, remote start, a power liftgate, and 7-passenger seating. It’s the value play if you want the Enclave’s space and comfort without paying for extras you may not need.
• Leather: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds heated front seats, driver memory settings, and 19-inch alloys without jumping all the way to the top model. If you want a more upscale daily driver, this is the sweet spot.
• Premium: Choose this if you want the most comfort and convenience features, including heated and cooled front seats, a power tilt and telescoping steering wheel, adaptive headlights, and additional safety features. It’s the right pick if you want the most fully equipped Enclave.

Premium adds lane-departure warning and forward-collision alert, while Leather adds blind-spot monitoring with cross-traffic alert.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Buick Enclave?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile deals.

• Deal availability: 30.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 480 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.19% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 59.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $8,409, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 Buick Enclave's resale value?

The current average of $8,419 sits slightly below last year's $9,271.

That softer pricing suggests the Enclave has already absorbed some of its depreciation, which can help future sellers if they buy at the right price. If you purchase near the lower end of the range and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you may have a better chance of limiting your loss at resale. The current market also shows enough demand to support a reasonable exit later on.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2014 Buick Enclave safe?

The 2014 Buick Enclave earns a five-star overall rating from NHTSA and a Good rating from IIHS in all test categories.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes 4-wheel antilock disc brakes, 7 airbags, electronic stability control, a rear-view camera, rear parking sensors, and OnStar telematics with emergency response services. Leather models add a blind-spot monitor with cross-traffic alert, and Premium adds lane-departure warning and forward-collision alert.

One caveat is that IIHS stopped short of naming it a Top Safety Pick, so you should still pay close attention to the condition and operation of the vehicle’s safety systems on any used example.

Should I buy a 2014 Buick Enclave or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 30.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 59.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.19% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2014 model combines style, versatility, and value while still feeling appealing after its refresh.

The bottom line: If you want a comfortable, spacious three-row crossover and you find a clean example at a strong price, the 2014 is a sensible buy. If you’re especially price-sensitive, focus on the best-maintained listings and be willing to shop patiently for a lower-mileage, accident-free vehicle.
