What should I look for when buying a used 2014 Buick Enclave?

At 62.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. A pre-purchase inspection matters here, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or one with incomplete service records. Focus on overall condition, because the Enclave’s value proposition depends heavily on how well it has been maintained.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base Convenience trim brings tri-zone automatic climate control, remote start, 18-inch alloy wheels, automatic HID headlights, a power liftgate, heated mirrors with integrated turn signals, and 7-passenger seating with second-row captain’s chairs and a split-folding third-row bench. Leather adds heated front seats, memory settings for 2 drivers, and 19-inch alloys, while Premium adds a power tilt and telescoping steering wheel, heated and cooled front seats, additional safety features, auto-dimming and power-folding exterior mirrors, 19-inch chrome rims, standard Bose speakers, and adaptive headlights.
• Powertrain: The Enclave uses a 3.6-liter V6 with 288 hp and 270 lb-ft of torque paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission. EPA estimates are 17 mpg city, 24 mpg highway, and 19 mpg combined for FWD models, and 16/22/18 for AWD models.
• Safety package: The standard safety equipment includes 4-wheel antilock disc brakes, 7 airbags, electronic stability control, a rear-view camera, rear parking sensors, and OnStar telematics with emergency response services. Leather models add a blind-spot monitor with cross-traffic alert, and Premium adds lane-departure warning and forward-collision alert.
• Infotainment: The Enclave uses an updated IntelliLink system with a 6.5-inch touchscreen, rear charge-only USB ports, Bluetooth connectivity, voice recognition, text-to-voice functionality, and integrated smartphone apps such as Pandora and Stitcher. A Wi-Fi Connectivity Package is optional.
• Fuel efficiency: FWD models are rated at 17 mpg city, 24 mpg highway, and 19 mpg combined, while AWD models are rated at 16 mpg city, 22 mpg highway, and 18 mpg combined.

Which 2014 Buick Enclave trim should I buy?

The 2014 Buick Enclave is offered in 3 trim levels: Convenience, Leather, Premium.

Here's the short version:

• Convenience: This is the value play if you want the Enclave’s core strengths without paying for extras. You still get tri-zone climate control, remote start, a power liftgate, and 7-passenger seating, so it covers the basics well.
• Leather: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds heated front seats, driver memory settings, and 19-inch alloys without jumping all the way to the top model. If you want a more upscale daily driver, this is the trim to target.
• Premium: Choose this if you want the most comfort and convenience features, including heated and cooled front seats, a power tilt and telescoping steering wheel, standard Bose speakers, adaptive headlights, and additional safety features.

Leather models add a blind-spot monitor with cross-traffic alert, while Premium adds lane-departure warning and forward-collision alert.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Buick Enclave?

• Deal availability: 29.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 501 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.86% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 62.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $8,311, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 Buick Enclave's resale value?

The current average of $8,311 sits slightly below last year's $9,220.

That softer pricing suggests the market has moved in buyers’ favor, which can help you get in at a lower cost today. For a future seller, though, it also means you should expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and maintenance history rather than just the badge or trim.

Because the model has already seen a notable price decline, a well-kept example may hold up better than a neglected one when it’s time to sell. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2014 Buick Enclave safe?

The 2014 Buick Enclave earns five-star ratings overall from NHTSA, and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gives it a Good rating in all test categories.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes 4-wheel antilock disc brakes, 7 airbags, electronic stability control, a rear-view camera, rear parking sensors, and OnStar telematics with emergency response services. Leather models add a blind-spot monitor with cross-traffic alert, while Premium adds lane-departure warning and forward-collision alert.

Should I buy a 2014 Buick Enclave or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 29.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 62.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.86% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2014 model combines a refreshed look with a spacious, comfort-focused cabin and above-average dependability.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of value, comfort, and family-friendly space, the 2014 is the one to target. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you can still shop this year confidently, but prioritize condition and service history so you don’t trade away the savings with future repair risk.
