Is the 2014 Audi A8 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback also points to reliability concerns for used models, even as many drivers describe the car as high-quality and enjoyable to live with. For you, that means a careful inspection matters because long-term ownership risk can rise if maintenance history is unclear.

What should I look for when buying a used 2014 Audi A8?

At 57.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection from a qualified mechanic. Focus on maintenance records, signs of prior bodywork, and overall condition, since those details matter more when you are shopping a luxury sedan with potentially higher upkeep costs.

The current average of $13,926 sits slightly below last year's $14,355.

That softer pricing suggests the model has already absorbed some depreciation, which can help you if you buy at the right number. If you keep the car in strong condition and maintain it well, you may be better positioned when it is time to sell. The current market also shows enough demand to support a reasonable resale path, especially for cleaner examples.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2014 Audi A8 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 34.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 57.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.99% compared with last year.
