Is the 2014 Acura RDX a good car?

Owners commonly praise the comfortable ride, impressive acceleration, and value for money, and the model’s everyday usefulness makes it appealing if you want a premium-feeling crossover with family-friendly practicality. The 35.1% share of good or great deals suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities in the market if you shop carefully.

Is the 2014 Acura RDX reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback also highlights reliability and value for money, which suggests many owners feel confident keeping the vehicle over time. That kind of praise matters for used buyers because it can point to lower ownership stress and better confidence in the vehicle’s durability.

What should I look for when buying a used 2014 Acura RDX?

At 57.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection so you can confirm the condition matches the listing. Pay close attention to bodywork, panel alignment, and signs of past repairs, and make sure the visibility concerns mentioned by owners don’t become a dealbreaker for your driving needs.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Acura RDX?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop but should still move quickly on the right listing.

• Deal availability: 35.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 575 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.35% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $11,418, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 Acura RDX's resale value?

The current average of $11,723 sits slightly below last year's $12,005.

That softer pricing suggests the market has eased a bit, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point today. For a future seller, the current trend implies you may not see rapid appreciation, so resale value will depend more on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle is maintained. Strong demand from satisfied owners can still support pricing when you eventually sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2014 Acura RDX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 35.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 57.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.35% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2014 Acura RDX makes the most sense if you want a comfortable, practical luxury crossover and you find a clean example at a strong price. If you’re more price-sensitive, the current market gives you enough deal activity to justify shopping this year carefully rather than rushing into a higher-priced alternative.
