Is the 2014 Acura RDX a good car?

Yes — the 2014 Acura RDX earns a 4.5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its comfortable ride, impressive acceleration, and modern features, and many also value its reliability and value for money. For you, that makes it a strong fit if you want a practical, comfortable compact luxury crossover with everyday usability and a premium badge. With 32.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, there are still worthwhile opportunities in the market.

Is the 2014 Acura RDX reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The review summary also highlights reliability and value for money, which is encouraging if you want a used SUV you can count on. That said, you should still expect normal used-car ownership risk, so a careful pre-purchase inspection matters if you want to reduce the chance of surprise repair costs.

What should I look for when buying a used 2014 Acura RDX?

At 55.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

Start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with prior damage. Then prioritize a thorough inspection of body panels, alignment, tires, and any signs of uneven wear or repair work. Because the model’s appeal depends heavily on comfort and everyday usability, focus on overall condition and maintenance history rather than just mileage alone.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Acura RDX?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly when a strong listing appears.

• Deal availability: 32.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 572 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.62% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 55.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $11,417, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 Acura RDX's resale value?

The current average of $11,754 sits slightly below last year's $12,070.

That softer pricing suggests the model has already absorbed some depreciation, which can help future sellers if the market stays steady. If you buy well and keep the vehicle in good condition, you may be better positioned to limit further value loss. Strong demand for a comfortable, well-equipped compact luxury crossover can also help support pricing when you eventually sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2014 Acura RDX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 32.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 55.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.62% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2014 if you want a comfortable, practical compact luxury crossover with strong owner approval and a market that still offers some deal opportunities. If your priority is maximizing value, the 2014 is a sensible target; if you want to shop even more aggressively on price, compare it with nearby years and focus on the cleanest, best-maintained example you can find.
