Used 2013 Nissan Altima for Sale near South Carolina

The 2013 Altima drove great and had really low miles. We would have bought it except for some minor damage on the front and back and bad tires.

Great seats and overall comfort. All technology is helpful and easy to use. Features not available in the class like heated steering or LED lights make it a great value. Drives well and never lacks power despite the excellent fuel efficiency. Got new Michelin Primacy tires and they justify the investment. Improved ride, braking and road manners.

This car gives you power when you ask for it and stops when you need it to. Seating is almost as comfortable as it gets with the cloth interior, the only thing lacking is the lumbar support. The bluetooth phone system is often glitchy, enough that I don't even use it any more. I have to pull over and turn the car off and back on just to use the radio after the bluetooth locks up on the lcd screen. One drawback is that the car does not feel confident in hard turns, it seems like the reactive steering system overcompensates too much when it kicks in. The car doesn't like rain at all but that could be in the tires or it may have something to do with the steering system as well. I'll have to try different tires when they are due and post an update if I can. There is a bad engine smell when using the outside vent which the sales person assured me would go away after break-in...it didn't. Overall. this car is still the best in its class in my opinion. During normal daily driving; It feels as if you are driving an expensive luxury vehicle. As long as you aren't trying to be a racecar driver it should treat you very well. If you have the 3.5 liter engine don't skimp on the oil, make sure to use the genuine Nissan ester oil or you may have a continuous valve tapping sound. It is far more expensive to maintain but will keep your engine happy.

With the 2013 model quickly approaching the 10-year mark, I thought it would be time for me to review the car and my experience. Purchased new from a dealer in Florida, I found the car was one of the best looking cars in its segment. An exterior that never turned heads when new, the Altima has aged well and looks newer than it’s rival’s Accord and Camry. Moving inside, you’ll find a comfortable and clean interior. The user experience flows well and the buttons to control climate and radio are exactly where you’d expect them. As you’d expect from Nissan, the materials used are not of the highest quality, but with over 100,000 miles I’ve yet to see any wear of note. The ride is smooth over the bumpy streets of Memphis where I now reside, but with its cheap price comes quite a bit of road noise in the cabin. The CTV transmission has held up well throughout the miles and it’s little engine has enough power to be the perfect commuter or daily driver and still keep your money in your pocket at the pump. Overall, I’d highly recommend an Altima for those who are looking for function over thrills and want a relatively reliable car without shelling out Honda money.
