Reviewed a 2012 Subaru 2.0i Premium on May 14, 2014

I HAD to buy a 4WD to get up our hill. Sadly had to get rid of my Mustang. Bought the Impreza because it wasn't as "boxy" as the other small SUVs. Since it was based on the car it was zippy, cornered good, and was fun to drive. Some of the other SUVs were just so boxy and boring! Had it for 2 years now and we love it. In fact, my wife took it over because she loves it so much. Amazing what you can fit in it. It's not as big as the SUVs, but you can put the seats down and get a lot in there. We have had four people and luggage/coolers in the car for long weekend several times with no issues. The AWD goes anywhere. The AWD actually helps the cornering and it is fun but still practical. Subaru needs help with the electronics but they are ok (not great, but ok). My wife has her ipod connected and loves the touch screen, but otherwise the controls are not the most intuitive. Gas mileage changes by .3 (Why?) so your mileage (on the dash) is ALWAYS divisible by 3. (who thought of that?) Could not get a stick unless you get a WRX model or real basic model :-( Had to get the CVT but at least the paddle shifters help.
