The Mercedes-Benz CLS 550 is a powerful and upscale four-door luxury coupe. The sloping roofline makes hampers rear-seat headroom, but it results in a dramatic profile underscoring the CLS as a performance-luxury car. The CLS 550 was offered from 2007 to 2018, spanning the first and second generation of the CLS. The first-gen CLS was one of the earliest “four-door coupes,” inspiring a whole new segment of vehicle. It would eventually be joined by the Audi A7, S7, and RS7, the BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe, and even non-luxury options, such as the Kia Stinger GT.
