Handles well in all weather conditions. It is a 4x4. Great gas mileage for a SUV. Great car and gets you where you need to go. It is a fun car to drive! I feel safe driving my family around. Nice acceleration and great braking.

This is a fun car to drive. Mine has FWD & 5 speed manual transmission, which I think gives it more peppiness during acceleration. It handles well, with a low center of gravity (so it takes curves better than some other vehicles I've driven). This vehicle has the classic Jeep style, which I've always liked. The interior was spacious and roomy - plenty of cargo area in the back, and lots of space in the back seat for the kids during longer trips. It's a good family car. Very reliable, no down time due to mechanical issues or anything like that. Minimal maintenance costs involved with the Patriot. (is this a better review?)

The Patriot is a well built vehicle, with classic Jeep style, that handles well, accelerates well, and was an overall great car to have. Used the vehicle mostly on weekends and family trips because it had ample cargo space, and got good gas mileage. The manual transmission is easy to work, and has hillside starting assist, which basically gives you about 3-5 seconds to get going when you are on a hill before it starts to roll backwards. Makes starting on a hill very easy.

Excellent vehicle. Power is limited by it's 4 Cylinders but otherwise a great vehicle. On my version the suspension is too low for offroading but the next model up is trail rated and has a higher suspension. All in All an excellent car.

The one negative I see is the engine is a bit underpowered at first. Bring it up to 60mph and it behaves like a jeep. Second, the rear camber cannot be adjusted so you would have to add adjustable control arms.
