About 2010 Chevrolet Camaro
Overview

In ponycar limbo since 2002, after 35 years of continuous production, the Camaro will resume its attempts to outperform and outsell the Mustang this March 16, when production will resume at GM’s celebrated Oshawa plant in Ontario, Canada. Sticking with tradition, the Camaro will be a 2+2, front-engine, RWD design, with several updates since its debut in 1967.
Available in V6 LS or LT trim and V8 SS, the Camaro comes standard with a four-wheel independent suspension system, variable-rate power steering with axle-forward rack mounting, four-wheel disc brakes, and the Stabilitrak stability control system. SS trims get four-piston upgraded Brembo brake calipers, a more aggressive tuneable suspension, and more.
A V6 and a V8 in two configurations power the upcoming Camaro, depending on transmission chosen. The V6 is a 3.6-liter engine, whose basic design has been employed in other GM models such as the Cadillac CTS, and produces 300 hp with either the six-speed manual or automatic transmission. The V8 is a 6.2-liter and gets a bit of a power boost when equipped with the manual over the automatic, 422 hp versus 400 even, respectively. Due to GM’s active fuel management cylinder deactivation, the V8 is estimated to be capable of up to 23 mpg on the highway - the V6 capable of 26.
Additionally, the Camaro’s price point puts its top-tier version at just over $30,000, which places it squarely under that of its competitors, sadly in both price and performance.

2010 Camaro 2SS review, this one being a TR6060 manual car that means its a LS3 with NO AFM.. Mine is now 17 years old (built in 2009) and zero issues. I have no rattles, no squeaks, no vibrations the car feels smooth and solid built wich is a good departure from previous generation Camaros. The good is, the car on regular 2 lane country roads can average 24mpg at about 50mph real world, and its rock solid build means you have no fear of driving it. You know its always going to make it where your going and never have an issue, these are just well made cars mechanically, built to last 40+ years of staying in familys and going to car shows and races. The cons, I would say it takes a solid month of driving to get used to the narrow windows (low slung roof) I don't even notice now however its a non issue now for me. You can tell GM saved money in the paint work and interior materials, they can hold up if very meticulously cared for. But the paint left alone will fade scratch and chip, the interior will fade and the leather will crack.. You really need to take care of these things consistently with these cars to maintain the visual aspect of it. Vinyl wrap and window tints are your friends for preserving these from sun damage. Conclusion, I know there are many faster cars out there.. But for solid build quality and drive-ability, and FUN factor.. I dont think anything can beat the sub 30k price point, I mean stock they put out around 430hp and really doesn't take much investment to push the 500hp point, RELIABLY! Its a car you can thrash on like a dirt bike and know it won't break down on you.. Also it takes like 9 1/2 to 10qts of very expensive oil, so there's that.

This is the first Redesign of the iconic 1969. Model year , from 2010 to 2015 , this vehicle stands out on the roads were ever it goes , and that potent LS3 , engine when modified , has the most killer sound of any modern engine plant , Yes the Redesign from 2016 to 2018 was a clean refresh , but from 2019 to 2024 , you can’t beat that design or total power plant output, it made Ford rethink the Mustang, which almost matches the Camaros design, I’m 67 and a Certified Master Automotive Technician, and come from the days of the true Muscle Cars , and in my eyes this Camaro , holds it’s own with them , Good Job GM. , I just wish that I could get my hands on one before there all gone

Very nice, clean and well kept car. It is a fair value. I wouldve liked a Mylink radio. Would compare it to other Camaro models up to 2015.

I have had or driven every generation of camaro there has been up until I bought the 2010 ss I did not like the 5th gen, I checked them out in 2008 when they were reintroduced and like the sight lines. I have changed this opinion and now feel that Gen 5 is the best handling and control I have seen in any I've had. Completely recommend the SS for anyone interested in a mid-high end sport coupe. It had ample power for most enthusiasts but remains controllable unlike the super high end cars like s European supers or even vettes or hellcats that can easily betray you if you are not a top notch racer.
