"I made an appointment to see a 2006 Saturn Vue.
As I was literally a mile or two away from the dealer's lot (and might I ad this was a 50 mile trek fom N.E. Philadelphia to Vineland NJ) he, Dave, I believe was his name, left me a voice mail saying that there was a problem with the calipers "hanging up", but if I liked I could still test drive the vehicle. It was a great looking vehicle by the way, outside and inside were immaculate. However, the test drive was an abomination. I drove the vehicle a few miles or so, got it up to 50 mph or so, but to brake the vehicle, I literally had to stand on the brake pedal, then as the vehicle would finally come to a stop, it would hardly move. Dave informed me of lot lock or something to that effect, claiming that when a vehicle sits on a lot for a week or so, the brakes (pads, rotors) can get a small amout of rust on them thus causing them to stick a bit, logical but not true after sitting for a week.
As pulled up into the lot after the test drive Dave told he wasn't quite sure what was going on with the vehicle and he'd have to straighten out the brakes with his mechanics and that he had hoped it wasn't the master cylinder.
As crazy as it sounds, I was still somewhat interested in the vehicle, if it could possibly be repaired. Dave said sure, but he'd basically have to pass the the expenses on to me, you know, raising the price of the vehicle. As I left Dave told me, he'd give me a call the next to let me know if there was something we could still work out.
Dave never called, so in turn I tried to contact Dave 3 separate times, but Dave must have misplaced or lost his cell phone, because I never heard from Dave again.
I would not recommend this dealership and frankly, I don't know Dave allowed to test drive a faulty vehicle in the first place."
