About 2008 Hyundai Sonata
overall
The 2008 Hyundai Sonata is a value leader, offering a long list of standard equipment.
The Hyundai Sonata is an elder of the mid-size sedan segment, but its smooth styling, excellent equipment, and strong value still make it a compelling option to consider. The 2008 model has been updated with new features for the SE trim level, a premium stereo as standard equipment for the Sonata Limited trim level, and standard SiriusXM satellite radio across the lineup.
For the 2008 model year, the Sonata is offered in three trim levels: GLS, SE, and Limited. Two engines are available as well: a 162-horsepower 2.4-liter four-cylinder and a 234-hp V6 engine. A five-speed manual transmission is standard for models equipped with the four-cylinder engine and a four-speed auto is available. All Sonata models are front-wheel drive.
The Sonata is targeted at new-car buyers that are value-conscious and need a reliable sedan with a great warranty. It competes with the Nissan Altima, Honda Accord, and Toyota Camry, among others. It slots into the Hyundai lineup above the smaller and cheaper Elantra, but below the full-size Azera and recently-launched Genesis luxury sedan.

Safe sturdy car. Hit a deer at 90km/h, didn't barely feel anything. Good on gas, comfortable cruising car. Lots of guts! Sharp appearance, I would buy another. Plenty of interior room, front and back. The four doors make everything more convenient.

This car looks and drives like a higher end sedan. Very smooth and quiet at highway speeds. Would be great for any driver. Maintainenance is minimal. Runs great every time and provides a good balance between comfort, style, luxury and sportiness!

The 2008 Sonata is an alright car. This is a much better car than either the Accent or Elantra. The problem I have with it is that its bland. The 4-cylinder moves the car alright. The handling is alright nothing special. In terms of performance its actually decent. The interior is very similarly designed like the Elantra's and thus looks very similar to that car's interior. The problem with that interior is it looks very bland and uninteresting. Otherwise there is little fault to it. The car has no reliability faults and its rather inexpensive for a mostly fully loaded mid sized car. This car does have one big problem, the 2009 Sonata is far better than this version and I consider this one not worth the money after driving that one.

Traded in my 2004 Santa Fe on a 2008 Sonata Limited. Can't say enough about how much I like this car. I've driven Mazda's, Nissan's and many domestics over the year,s...but, all things considered, this is my favorite! My wife can't wait to turn in her 2006 Altima for a Sonata. I'm sold on Hyundai.
