Great truck. I wish the bed was 6 feet but other than that great power and smooth ride. Like all factory vehicles i needed new tires at 30k. I really like that GMC went to rear drums and removed the rear pads and rotors

My Truck is a 2008 GMC 1500....5.3 liter V8...Short Bed Regular Cab...Some of the modifications i have done are GM Performance Air Intake, GM Performance Exhaust by Borla, Line X bed liner, Bed cover caps, 18" XD Series wheels, Ready lift 2.25" leveling kit, CB radio by Cobra with PA coming out of the front grille, Tool Box with CB antenna sticks, Tailight led light bar....more mods im trying to do are 33" tires, and later on possibly a 6" lift kit...

I really like the wheel wells they are just screaming for some big tires. I also like the fact that it switches from an 8 cylinder to a 4 cylinder saves gas.

This truck is very secure and safe i have not heard any bad reviews about it but i woild like it to have head air bags but the handing feels very good the body loos very strong on safety child locks is very good because on the back seats you can put 3 seats well secure and all individual hooks help a lot
